Honshu Boshin® Bowie With Sheath

Awesome knife!! I was blown away, would tell more about it, but my brother took it home and won't bring it back !! Will order another one soon.

Well I just got this knife in the mail today and when I opened it the end cap was completely snapped off. The tang looked rusted and corroded. I buy from budk all the time and they are rectifying the situation so kudos to them. Hopefully the next one won't have any issues.

This is an overall great piece of cutlery, very sharp out of box, good material used all the way throughout, well worth the cost!!!!! Let it rip, tater chip!!!

This knife is easily one of my favorites. I collect bowies and hunting knives and this one really stands out among my collection. Its sleek design and curved handle give it a slightly futuristic look. The blood grove gives it even more personality. Its very large and razor sharp. Be careful. I cut my finger once just taking it out of the sheath! You will not be disappointed with this incredible blade.

I got this a while ago and I still love it. It has a great weight to it and seems to be balanced very well (though I'm no expert on that sort of thing). The handle also feels very nice in my hand and I am confident that I don't need to fear it slipping out of my hand during use. All in all a great product with a great size.

this is the knife. it is so much bigger than the picture shows. very well made five out of five on the blade. i would fell very confident caring this into battle. it comes sharped. this knife is worth the buy hands down. the only thing that bugged me is the rubber of the handle is just a bit louse but i can fix that by injecting some glue into it. <br /> this is the knife that you try not to pull out and pretend that your crocodile dunde. "thats not a knife THIS is a KNIFE."

Wow!!!! Excellent knife, feels good in the hand. Very sharp out of the box. A must have for any collection.

As the photo shows, this is a large knife. Should make a great camp/survival/fighting knife. Heavy blade should stand up to abnormal conditions. Blade is sharp, but noticed that it is more sharp at certain places. A little additional sharpening on the entire blade should take care of any "missed" places. The sheath is good quality leather. Knife is comfortable to hold. The knife or the steel is from China, but what isn't these days? If this is the kind of knife you're interested in, it is a good buy.

I really like the style of the knife looked at a couple of times decided to buy was not a mistake it's a great knife fixed blade razor sharp and I even looked at the steel on Line even though its Chinese it seems to be a good grade and should be very durable I have done a lot of carving and chopping with it and it is amazing how it has held a great edgeit's a little front heavy but a great knife I would recommend it to anyone that likes that style excellent !

I liked the overall shape of the knife. I noticed the size of the knife in the pic with the hand holding it and immediately knew that I wanted it. It was more than I expected and I am very happy with the purchase. Sharp out of the box, feels nice and has made me look more into Honshu blades. Thanks BUDK!

What a great knife design. Straight, strong, and sharp. This is the best deal for a top quality United knife. Sheath is great as well. You will smile when it arrives. Then you will smile even more when you hold the knife. Fantastic bowie that means business.

This knife is bad a**! I ordered one thinking it would be a hit or miss. It is definitly a hit. Great balance, good steel, fantastic edge, nice sheath. Had everyone who has seen the thing asking how they can get one! Thanks United! I'm going to get a couple more for Christmas gifts!

Just like the M48 Spear is a must have, so is this Knife. I have a lot of Knives in my collection but this one is the best ever, even the sheath is excellent and well worth the price. If you love knives I can promise you won't go wrong with this one.

what a nice bowie knife! very well made and balances nicely in your hand.came fairly sharp but with just a few strokes on my sharpner it was razor sharp.sheath is also top quality. way to go HONSHU!

When I received this knife, it had a light coating of oil on it. I used a paper towel to wipe the oil of, and proceeded to slice a thin layer of skin off my finger. This knife is sharp right out of the box. It also feels good in the hand and high quality. Once again a great buy from BUDK.

Excellent Blade, Much larger than expected, but then that's never a bad thing.

I just received my Honshu Bowie in the mail this morning.I was amazed at how sharp it was. You can shave with it. The sheath it came with is of high quality as well. This is one of the greatest knives for the price. Thank you united cuttlery keep up the good work.

It is a good looking knife and should serve any purpose well.

I bought one and it was flipping amazing with good balance of weight and being razor sharp out of the box. The size of this thing is massive and the grip is perfect with the curve of it fitting the hand nicely. I gave that one to my best friend and got me another one. Only downside was that the hilt on the second one is loose and it is extremely irritating since you would think you would get one just as good as the first. So one less star on that.

Well worth the price, excellent blade, good balance, handle fits like it was made for your hand.

This knife looks even better when you have it in your hands. Doesn't seem to fit the leather sheath well. Have not had a chance to use it. I mostly collect bowies. So it was worth adding to the collection.

Excellent quality blade and the workmanship is outstanding except for one small issue... When they assembled the blade to the handle stock they did not take into account that the rubber grip stock might shrink and now there is an annoying rattle whenever I remove the knife from the sheath to use it... When ever you strike anything in a chopping motion or pull the blade across an object to cut there is this high pitched rattle noise that is not only annoying but it gives your position away immediately... The only way I could get rid of it was to take some super-glue and untaxed dental floss and wrap it around the top of the grip as I applied glue to the floss so it would adhere to the grip and fill the space between handle and guard to keep it from rattling and making noise - it is a great knife but this reason, I'll probably never take it to the field - I'll just use it for a display blade in my collection...

it came as sharp as a dull butter knife. i have bought many knives from budk and have always been impressed with the quality for the price. if you want a big strong sharp knife get the timber rattler bowie.

The knife seem's OK. THE only compliant I have is the End cap on the handle is not the greatest. I sold one and the next day the young man brought it back. H stated that he had droppeted it on the floor of his bedroom &nthe end cap snapped of . the steal tang is not the same size as the rest of the tang.
