United Cutlery Hawk Axe And Karambit Combo

All in all I am very pleased withthis purchase, very well built and dependible items. The only complications I have are the holesters: sheath for tomahawk is rather difficult to work with when held on belt through the belt loop holder, the multiple button closure makes for excellent securtiy but not very easy accessability. The karambit hoelster is kind of difficult due to the elasticity, often need two hands to make for quick access without pull the belt clip clean off. Again, I have no real complaints, items are very durable, dependable and easy to learn and function. I suggest finding more efficiant ways to harness the weapons, especially for shoppers seaking something for a Z-War; need to be easily accessable as well as safely contained.

I already had both of these from separate orders. Previous Karambit was the silver one with the boot clip sheath. Things worked out with some discounts so decided to go with this combo because I want lots of hawks and love the Karambit. I knew the shoulder harness would be garbage, but hoped the plastic sheath might have some options. Maybe - it isn't so great and i will only order the boot clip one after this. The knife itself is fantastic, pretty sure I already reviewed the silver one. The Hawk - what can I say, it is GREAT!!! I can't have too many of these hawks! Sheath is pretty good and you can find a Kydex sheath maker on the net if you want an upgrade. The handle needs a little butt end, but a little hockey tape does fine. Blade and back spike will both do some serious damage and if not careful, you might get yourself. If you are willing to spend the few dollars extra to order separately (Silver Boot clip Karambit and then the Hawk) I would recommend you do that because you will spend more than what you saved trying to make the shoulder harness work for you. I love all the Honshu / M48 things I have!! Going for the Push Daggers next. All are great budget alternatives to the expensive Cold Steel stuff. United is clearly working that angle and doing a great job. BudK - if you read these reviews - Come on guys, I can get a butter knife to puncture a soda bottle or cut open a watermelon. So those "demos" don't show us anything. Love the blades & prices, but the demos are getting stale.
