This unique collectible should be passed down for future generations to enjoy. Measures 12" overall.
Beautiful knife, sharp, and sturdy. It takes to diamond steel very well. My only complaint is the pointed window breaker on the back is sharp and has already taken a few chunks out of me as my hand brushed against it. But that is the knife lovers way of life right?

Both elegant and functional
I am thoroughly impressed with this knife's sleek design and comfortable grip. Its versatility makes it ideal for self-defense and conveniently opening Amazon packages. From now on, this trusty blade will be my go-to everyday carry.

Handle
Knife is ok but after handling it the black handle started turning brown. Obviously a cheap black stain was used on the wooden handle. This is my only beef with this knife other than finger choil a little big.

Hibben legacy
I bought this knife when it was first released for 45 bucks. The sheath is horrible but I really like the full tang blade and black wood handle. The knife was sharp but has grooves from the factory sharpening so i had to fine tune it. Also the edges on the finger grip were too sharp so I had to smooth them out gently for a more comfortable grasp.

Incredible out of the box
This is literally the first knife I have ever owned where I could shave the hair on my arm right out of the box. Amazing! Not to mention it is a sexy beast and feels great in my hand.

Great collaboration
I can't wait to see more from the Hibbens. this knife is incredibly well-made. it fits my hands, which are huge, and my wife's small hands with equal comfort. it is high quality

Sadly...
The knife I received was a beauty, as is all Hibben knifes I've handled so far. Unfortunately, the handle was loose. The blade would shake around while gripping the handle tight. I will be exchanging it for a different hibben knife. But I know Hibben is well on quality. I will not allow the defect of one knife to deter me from Hibben or BudK. It happens...

This is a AMAZING knife, i couldn't ask for anything better. it came sharp, it is not dull, it fits in the sheath ... almost perfectly, but my point being, that it is awesome, i have no complaints, i would recommend this to anyone and i would even buy it again.

No toy
First off, people enjoy complaining about the sheath. If you juggled three of these knives (I just might need that many) by the sheath, they would stay in the sheath. However, if you pull on the handle, it slips out nicely. This is how any combat knife is supposed to be, fast to draw but won't slide out. The weapon is thick and heavy with a grip that feels natural in any hand, thanks to the 75+ years of experience put into this knife. The trigger grip is perfectly suited to fast changes in the direction or angle of a strike while the thumb rest is comfortable and natural. However you can ignore the trigger grip and the weapon will still do it's job admirably. As to the pommel (Is that the right word for a knife?), it is a brilliant excuse to go live with Patrick under a rock at the bottom of the sea. If the knife is held in reverse grip, which feels slightly less natural, I still can't complain. It shipped fast, arrived sharp (in cheap though tough packaging so I didn't have to pay extra). The back of the knife is designed to have a second edge added, as if this knife needed to be more dangerous. No detail is incomplete or overlooked. Every inch of this weapon was designed and redesigned to perfection.

Just What I Paid For. Not Very Sharp.

Awesome
I purchased this knife for my wife. She loves a good blade. She was very impressed with the way this one fit her hand and felt like it belonged there. I was rewarded accordingly. I recommended it to my three sons.

This is the one
I was searching for the perfect knife. I have quite a few (most from budk) and wanted just one more that was the perfect one. This was it. Great size, great feel, great weight. There is no negatives about this knife. Sharp and strong right out of the box and as always with budk fast shipping.

excellant
Excellent blade and construction, the one and only flaw is were the sheath strap holds the knife in the sheath, knife can easily be pulled out without unsnapping the strap... I'll have to come up with a fix.

Hibben Legacy Knife
I've had this knife for about two weeks, it is one heck of a knife, very well made and very sharp right out of the box, it the right size for what use it for.

Fantastic design
I got this blade because it has a raised thumb rest on the back of the blade, the trigger finger grip and last the skull crusher on its back. Fantastic design and when you get it the blade looks much bigger than what it looks like on pictures.

Great fighting knife!
I've been looking for a well made, well ballanced fighting knife for some time. I really liked the size, design and look of the Hibben Legacy and when it finally arrived I wasn't disappointed. Can't beat this knife. For my fighting style,I did have my knife maker put an edge on the false-edge upper, now it's a "cutter" in two dimensions. Great knife! Nice Blade
Very nice knife in design, quality, and ability to hold an edge. I expect the sheaths to be less quality than the knife just like in 90% of knives.

Hibben Legacy Rocks!
Love this knife, and so does everyone I show it to. Solid, came very sharp, fits the hand nicely. You really feel confident with this in your hand. Plus it's just gorgeous.

Absolutely Great Knife
It is a razor sharp great knife & I carry it very often, but I wish the sheath would work a little better, the Gil & Wesley Hibben company should have a recall on it & ship all buyers new sheaths that actually kept the knife in the sheath!!!!! Other than that, the Hibben's really know how to make a quality & great looking knives!!!!!

Wonderful knife
Very sturdy, very sharp. Well made. Good looking. I would carry it every day except for the sheath. It is a good sheath but the knife cannot be drawn out quickly because of the snap closure so it is not good for self defense, but the knife itself is great.

Good knife . Needs to be sharper
Great knife . Good design especially the blade. Although it's not as sharp out of the box as it should be. That's the only reason I am giving it only four stars. I have read other reviews about this knife other people claim it's sharp but that must be chalked up to inconsistent sharpening technics at the factory. When you buy a premium knife you expect it to be ready to go out of the box. You shouldn't have to put an edge on it yourself.

Good Knife poor sheath
Good knife. Ascetically pleasing, sturdy construction, good edge out of the box and a good feel in your hand. The sheath on the other hand makes good start but will not hold the knife in place and mine was slightly faulty out of the box. I will need to make a better system to hold the knife in the sheath.

AWESOME BUT...
This is a nice and well balanced knife. I have to agree with Lonnie, forget about the snap, the backside of the button on the inside of the sheath "SCRATCHES" this beautiful knife. I bought a Hibben Damascus same sheath, same problem, this is not a hard fix
David Jun 05, 2013 (4 out of 5)
great knife.
Showed up on time, sheath and knife are both just as pictured. the only reason I gave four and not five stars is I had to harpen the blade myself. other than that, very good deal.
Keith May 31, 2013 (4 out of 5)
Beautiful!
Just received this knife today, fast delivery! It's a great knife, well balanced, the Hibben's do great work! my only complaint would be that it doesn't fit tightly in the sheath and that the snap closure doesn't keep it secure....

Amazing blade worth the wait
Glories blade. Had my eye on it for a while and couldn't pas up the sale price. Solid Blade and a rugged handle means this knife will be in my collection for the rest of my life and passed down through my family. The only reason for a 4 rating is the sheath. The clasp button is loose and the sturdy quality of the leather and staining is lessened by the cheap design and the feeling that the edge of the sheath feels like its wood. May have to change the sheath in the future.

Bad A
Very nice Blade, there nothing negative to say about it. But... the case is nice but smells like Mold.

This bowie
This knife is increddible! But the sheath is horrible. The knife does slip out if you pull on it. Blade and knife is fantastic for 50$ but the sheath is very bad.
Bill Feb 14, 2013 (4 out of 5)
I must Agree
As badly as I hate to admitt it. I have to agree with the rest of you guy's...that latch on the sheath leaves a lot to be desired. On a knife of this Quality you would think a little more care would have been taken in the quality control department. I think I would have traded the fancy little cut-outs for the scales for a functioning latch. Luckly (being rather handy with leather) I think I can fix it. Over-All it is a Great knife and I hope this does not discurrage anyone from purchasing this Terrific knife.

Hibben Legacy
I love the way the Legacy fits in my hand. Very good edge , love the skull crusher. As with all other reviews the sheath hold down strap has a lot to be desired . Maybe the addition of a secondary strap on the hilt area would help.

hibben legacy
Previous reviewers are correct about the sheath. The knive Will slip out unless care is taken. That said, I do like the knive and am buying another. However, the design of the sheath should have been better constructed so that the blade did not slip out under normal use.

Quality Blade
Beautiful, hunk of steel. For once, when the description says razor sharp, they mean it. You can shave with this. Two things I don't like, the sheathe while being quality leather material, is illformed and does not properly house the knife safely. I like to conceal carry upsidedown, and with this knife it literally fell right out of the sheathe. Also, the handle scales are a bit off, barely noticeable but makes me wish this was a genuine Hibben custom made knife. All in all, great knife for a great price.

Superb Knife
Pros: Great knife! It comes so razor sharp, it's a little scary. The balance is wonderful. Budk has the cheapest price I have found. Cons: A little oil on the blade which is not necessarily a bad thing, just wipe it when you get it. Another problem, and this is major to me. My sheath does not properly latch onto the thumb groove and hold the knife fully secure. It should be more at a angle and take more surface area to really hold it in the sheath. I can easily pull the knife out without undoing the button latch. I don't see how this was overlooked on a quality Hibben knife?? Maybe my sheath is defective? I also have the Gil Hibben Alaskan Bowie and its not a issue on it.

Minor Problems
I didn't enjoy the quality of this knife, I got it on time but the sheath was rusted, the handle was loose, and there was no point on it. I also had to sharpen it. I hope i got the crappy one out of the bunch.
