Product Description
Perfect for collectors and historical enthusiasts, our Regimental Kukri abounds with old-world style and authenticity. It utilizes full-tang steel construction with a high-polished 12-3/4" kukri blade. The hardwood handle is accented with brass fittings for an aged, antiquated look and feel. The embellished leather scabbard houses the blade and two matching 4" tools—a small cutting knife and a miniature sharpening steel/fire starter. It's a capable size at 18" overall. The blade edge may be sharpened to your liking.
Have owned one of these since my 20's, now 56. Like one previous reviewer said it's luck of the draw. I've gotten one of these badly warped from bad tempering, and have one in my lap right now that retired my Cold Steel trailmaster to the trunk o' woe.
Even the garbage ones are effective close range weapons. If you get a clunker throw it till it falls apart than have fun putting handle scales back on. Throwing these is awesome and stupid, don't do it. Anyway, get a good edge on a good sample and you've got a friend for life. Even if you get a bad one, it's still a nice hunk of display at this price. Cheers. #doublebad doug beatty, mall ninja, couch potato, armchair expert on all matters :)

looks good for the money
Have had several of these over the decades... a lot of them of this type seem to come from DehraDun in India. The steel is usually recycled/forged/tempered 5160 or similar car/truck springs. The brass on these looks pretty good compared to the plain wood ones we usually see, which is why I was drawn to this one. Being a collector as well as a user, these occupy a prominent place on my living room wall, along with other knives Ive collected. They do look nice and are a functional camp tool. I have made sheaths for some of them, to suit my own desires and needs. Dun

Not Bad. Okay
Sheathe is a painted brown. The hangers are a nice design with the adjustable pins for length. The blade is undeveloped which is traditional for this fighting knife. The grip is hit or miss horrible in execution. Voids in the wood and metal. The price reflects the quality. Good for the price. Serious fighting knives of this design are way more expensive. This is a good and almost great price for this item. I have a shop so I developed and sharpened the edge and reworked the grip. If this is a project you want to take on...get it.

ok but....
Just got mine. The blade needs an edge put on it but the sheath won't slide up on the blade and there are no holes for the little blades. Disappointed and paid too much for what I got. I can make a new and better sheath and put a descent edge on it.

like but dull
this knife is awesome. when i first recieved this blad it was one of the dullest things i have ever purchased from budk. after a grinder and four different wet stones, this blade is the best blade that i have. keeps its edge very well, chops wood as good as an axe and stabs like a straight blade. beautiful blades and design
