The black bear population is so big here that hunters are allowed 4 a year. I've got black bears in the back yard and the alley, all summer long. This baton is now my weapon of choice now when taking out the trash.

this is sweet and u better check your state u might need a class before you buy this but overall good thing to have if u cant afford a gun.

Very good baton. Has great balance when retracted and when deployed. Easy retraction makes this a step up from other batons. So fun to smash watermelons with and other things of that sort. A very great carry.

This thing is long, cool and is very awesome because it has a good grip. You can swing it easy.

I really had fun with this baton! It's really fun to play with it... I usually like to whack it against thick pieces of wood! It's also useful to let you anger out. With most batons I have a hard time getting it to retract, but with this, it is a lot EASIER! Over all this is a great, good quality baton.

I just got my Baton this after noon and right off the bat I could tell it's a well crafted item, It felt good in the hand, I could feel it had a nice heft to it, and it expanded smoothly. My only complaint and the reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because it doesn't retract as easily as it extends, I had to strike it on the ground to get it to retract.

Solid unit. I think possibly that some other reviewers on here may be talking about the $12.99 26 baton private labeled for BUD K??? Not sure. This isn't a $100-$200 ASP professional Law Enforcement Baton. It is a solid, positive deploying/locking unit with a very good grip/handle & a killer sheath. I believe the UC Night Watchman version is hardened steel, so unless you are smacking cinder blocks, it shouldn't bend easily. I don't plan on using mine to hit bricks so I am thus far very pleased. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

Yeah.. these are all fake views, I got the baton for my friend and when we went to try it out it bent on 3 light hits on a plastic 5 gallon bucket. An absolute waste of money DO NOT BUY!!!

this baton is terrible,bent like a twig the first strike.Then i couldnt even close the dam thing,do not buy.i would not want this thing as my means of my deffence

WARNING....this is a piece of crap!!!!!!!! I bought one and the first thing my daughter in law hit was a pumpkin...it bent immediately...i looked at it turned it and lightly swung it backwards against the bend and it straightened...piece of crap...the top piece is not solid and it bends like aluminum..if you have to use this for self defense you get ONE good hit...if that doesnt work you better be a good runner or fighter.....piece of CRAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
