Mountain Man Classic
For a bowie style knife, it's light weight, well built, and needs a bit of honing. I purchased the Mountain Man classic to add to my collection, and it was well worth the cost. The brass pommel and guard are extremely brilliant, and adds a touch of class to the knife. Thank you BUDK for this opportunity to purchase this fine blade.

Very Nice
I purchased the Mountain Man on a whim. It looked good and the price was right. Here's what I received: a beautiful knife that is solid, made well, fits good in the hand and is somewhat sharp. It does need sharpening but for $7.99 is excellent. I bought it for my collection along with the Mountain Man boot knife. They compliment each other. LJP

Basic but useful
The mountain man hunting knife is asthetically pleasing to the eye. Bowie style blade, wood handle with finger grip, brass guard and butt. The blade itself is really basic but useful. It seems like it’ll hold an edge. Not sure as to what kind of metal was used as there is just a stamp that reads “Pakistan”. I would recommend this knife not as primary knife but more as a back up or something to toss in the tool box. If you’re a collector, this knife displays really nice.

Mountain man knife
I received my knife today, and I would just like to say that I'm very pleased with this knife, I was looking for something that would be comfortable to wear a lot, and I think this fits the bill. The knife seems very solid and well built. I took a bit of time and ran it through my sharpener and was able to get a nice edge on it. I feel that I got a good knife for a budget price, very satisfied.

A perfect knife
I read some of the reviews for this piece and was kind of put off by them but bought one anyway. Best decision I've made in awhile. The knife's handle and finish is flawless and the blade came razor sharp. I've gotten compliments for it all the time. The only downside is the sheath. If you plan on carrying this knife regularly (Like I do) You may want to consider getting a more durable sheath/holster as the one it comes with is for display purposes only. Other than that, Its a good buy and I recommend it to anybody.

Decent knife
You definitely get what you pay for. the wooden handle is nowhere near as "handsome" as you see in the pictures. The tip was so dull a toddler could play with this knife. No problem, just grind it down and sharpen. the sheath is of terrible quality and doesnt secure the knife properly. But what do you expect for $6.99? Overall i'd say it's worth what you pay for.

Mountain Man
Very nice knife with decent quality steel in the blade. Small and comfortable to wear. Just what I wanted!! For the price, I don't feel as though you can beat it.

Mountain Man Hunting Knife
I definitely would recommend this knife to anyone who wants a decent knife for a great price. It has a good leather sheath that houses the knife very nicely. The blade is securely attached to the handle and the knife works great. It is a very good buy from budk! Thanks Budk.

Nice DIsplay Piece!
Bought this knife spur of the moment; just threw it in the order. Have to say I'm happy with the knife I got for the price I paid. It is a full tang, just probably not what you expect. Hey, for only $7 you guys get no complaints from me. I knew what to expect and received just that. Thanks BudK!

Good knife
I love this knife. Its a nice size and easy to carry. The belt sheath is easy to put on and easy to take the knife out of. It comes pretty sharp and sturdy. It is a great deal for the price.

Mountain Man Hunting Knife
Ordered the knife, buy one get one free. Great price, very nice knife for hunting and skinning. It's nice to be able to get this type of knife for the money. BudK, my favorite online store.

Incredible Price
I collect knives and give knives to friends. I own several of the "Mountain Man Classic," and have given as many away. The knife is not only good and dependable, the price makes it impossible to ignore. The blade is securely seated in the handle and it takes an incredible edge.....and holds that edge! If for no other reason than curiosity, everyone should make a purchase.

Good knife
This is a good knife and will take an edge. Not sharp at all out of box, but a good knife.

Good for the price
Sharpened and smoothed knotch by the handle. Makes a good camping, fishing knife.

Laughubly dull
Came completely dull, with only the tip being sharpened. The blade felt like sandpaper running my finger against it. Great if you want a display piece, but good luck sharpening this one.

not bad not exceptiônal
The brass came tarnished and the wood handle has a few nicks but it feels good in the hand with heft and balance. The blade was sharp but the edge has a lot of burrs and I think it just needs a sharpening with some attention and TLC. Of the 12 knives I bought from BUDK this was the least expensive and the poorest. But for 6.99 it is a good sturdy knife. I have had worse knives that cost more.

Horrible
Completely useless knife. Even for such a cheap price, it was garbage. Completely dull, and the blade bent dramatically on the first day of use, due to the weak connection of the knife to the handle. For anyone who will actually use this knife, make the investment in a full tang knife. This knife is the reason I now only buy full tang.

Waste of time
This knife is a price of garbage.its came more dull than a butter knife and was impossible to sharpen because there was barely a find in the first place.not to mention the sheath was crap to.dont get this it's just a disapointment
