This saw is super handy and convenient, and works great fishing, clearing brush from the bank, As well as cutting fire wood for camp. I bought several to give as gifts!

You gotta have this if you go camping..Works really good on branches..Inexpensive and doesn't take up much room..Could come in handy if you were attacked by man or beast..

This saw is awesome!! It is great when you need to cut small branches, quick and easy. I recommend everyone has one in there emergency kit.

Got this for fishing trips but had to try it out first. Really surprising and easy to use. Two thumbs up while I still got them. LOL

Works like a charm. Cut through a two-inch thick branch in about a minute, didn't break a sweat, and I'm definitely not the toughest. Pay attention to how it's coiled in the packaging, you'll want to keep it that way because it likes to uncoil. If I were using this over long periods of time, I'd probably want to try wrapping it around a curved branch to make a more tradition saw, just because the rings can cause your fingers to ache. Overall, very functional and very handy. More than worth the price.

this saw is the best for 4 bucks. The hundred pound claim is a lie. I tested it about 120 pounds of force. Now i have in my altoids survival tin

Great little wire saw. Tried it out on some red oak firewood I had stacked up. Very sharp teeth that cut very quickly. I didn't see anything gumming up the wire afterward, but I was cutting dried wood. I will try it on some live green wood to see how it works. I'm sure it will work great.

not dangerous to you just everybody else, make sure u keep your fingers inside the rings and the rest of you away from the chain. can easily cut through just about everything but dont waste it and be very careful because it is still a valuable weapon/tool in you arsenal.

$5 gets you a fantastic lil tool! Cuts through tree branches like its cardboard and best part is, it doesn't hurt you if you happen to grab the wire! Mine now permanently hangs off a hook on the back of my hiking bag! Thanks once again!

this product is amazing! it cuts better than a normal saw, and if you use it right it cuts faster, hurts the fingers a little though

This thing is amazing! I tried it out on the practice/test mattress in the back, I cut through it like it was butter.

I bought this on bogo and for the price it is a great tool though for big jobs I'm gana make a survival chainsaw with an extra blade i have.

Good tool for what it is. Small and compact so you'll have it with you when needed, but it's not designed to replace a regular saw. You have to go slow and use its full length to avoid overheating and thus breaking the "blade".

i like the way this wire saw cuts through small dead branches for camp fire wood. i think it's worth the money i spent on it.

Haven't opened this package yet but I have used an item like this before. From the looks of it the design and materials have improved over the years. This would be great for a boy or girl scout to use around camp. I plan to keep it in a survival kit for emergency or maybe just camping should cut dry wood with ease, green woood may cause trouble from the sap. Can't wait to get it out and use it. Fast shipping!

I have yet to test this item out, but it seems very strong indeed. I'm a pretty strong guy, and I can pull on the rings with most of my strength and not so much as a creak, much less a break or snap. Great item for the price, it may surprise you how small it is. you could probably fit 1-2 fingers in each ring, and is easily converted to a bow saw, provided you have a stick or branch that is strong enough to use as such. A must-have for any camper or survivalist! (like myself)

Well, I had this for about 6 months, using it here and there, it was OK. Nothing to really be excited for. I was testing the materials it says it cuts through. I got down to my final one, metal. I got about 1/2 way through a nail when it snapped. Its also a little slow on cutting wood. I wouldn't get another one.
