M48 Naginata Polearm With Vortec Sheath

The naginata is not meant to be thrown it is meant to slash like a sword and poke like a spear so it will break if mistreated and used on wood it is meant for flesh and an exception would be fruit, mats, soft things. It is a pole armed weapon like a glaive not a throwing spear.

I bought this because of a wild pig problem on our land and I can say this naginata was a great buy. Indestructible and sharp. It takes some practice if you are used to either a sword or a spear, it is used like neither really. Great product and my hats off to Budk for carrying it. This isn't a wall hanger but a functional weapon.

I was very surprised to see the blade was sharp and as durable as advertised. My favorite thing about it is the well designed sheath and the two hand grips. The way the hand grip can ergonomically hold you in a thrusting position with a lot of the balance point in your thumb makes it feel like the polearm is it should be. I enjoyed it a lot and recommend it to any martial practitioner.

this naginata is like the best polearm i have and i have the other m48 polearms sold on budk out of all of them i love the naginata its sharp sleek fast and fits perfictly for my larp character i was doing all in all the review video is correct saying its indistrucable

Alright, I have been eye screwing this Naginata for quite some time now. I am amazed at how great of quality this thing really is. It has an extremely log reach, and it does what you need it to do. The reason I chose this spear vs the traditional spear is this one is more catered toward a slashing mindset vs just peer thrusting mindset. You are still able to thrust and throw the spear, but the way the blade is shaped makes for a better combination of actual moves you can do with it. This Naginata is extremely lightweight too, making it very easy to maneuver when using it. 5 stars. Get one.

Once again, Budk delivered a great product. My husband had been eyeing the M48 Naginata Polearm With Sheath for quite some time so when it went on a closeout price I started waiting for just the right coupon on top of that. This is a solid piece with great construction. The blade was oiled, clean, and sharp. The handgrips all fit perfectly for him based on his size and comfort. His height is 5' 9 1/2" with a small to medium frame by the way for those who buy products based on their own body size/height. Overall, he was very, very happy with this purchase. I love almost everything about this naginata except I think the shaft should have been made longer. I have several naginatas in my collection and this one seems smaller by a foot. Not to big an issue but I would perfer a longer shaft on this weapon. Overall the blade is sharp, nice weight, and the price is good. Goes great in my collection.

This is an exquisite weapon. Sharp, tough, light, quick, you name it. This is also almost a foot longer then the other M48 pole arms that I have. I hope that they will put out more in this length. All in all, a wonderful choice in a pole arm!

Take it from this swords man this weapon feels every bit as lethal as advertised. It is solid, a good weight and sharp. I have seldom found such a good product for such a good price and this one is no disappointment, I assure you, you will love this M48 Naginata it is a combination of great with awesome and delivers on its' promise.

I think budk needs to put more demonstrations on this website I hv a tight budget and most of the 20 dollar swords have no demonstrations or reviews so I hv no clue wether or not to buy them so budk if your reading this please take my advice because i speak for a lot of people when I say this

I've been looking for something like this for a very long time, I am a martial artist(in the old sense) and specialize in staves and other pole based weapons and when I woke up this fine, fine friday afternoon to find this bad boy sitting on my porch I couldn't wait to rip it open and test it out! I knew it'd be amazing right from the beginning as M48 absolutely refuses to let me down, note I've already obtained most of their other items and I would STRONGLY encourage you to get this item and/or any M48 weapon if you are serious about your safety. $89.99 is NOTHING compared to the feeling of security knowing this item is in an arm's length!

i done brok it after 5 days, i was throwing it like a spear into a walnut tree from 50 to 55 feet and i brokeded at the tang just below the first peg but i suspect shenanigans for in closer inspection the break was half rusted and the other half was clean other than that the weapon was beautiful and well balanced it stuck in every throw, the blade weight and, length is fitting enough to go through 4in thick trees when swung right, and the thing as a whole can support your weight (I used it to swing from trees and slide down branches) over all very good weapon just inspect it on arrival.
