Product Description
The M48 Highland Sgian takes the traditional Scottish dagger and gives it a sleek, modern look. It boasts an extraordinary tactical feel, backed up by a 5 1/4" cast stainless steel blade with a nonreflective black oxide coating and a satin surface grind. The blade is accented with three through-holes that lead up to the stainless steel guard. The handle is black TPR, ergonomically contoured to fit comfortably in your hand. Transport is a breeze with the rugged Vortec belt sheath, which features a double-layered strap to keeps the Sgian anchored firmly in place. Just strap the sheath to your belt, and you're ready to go!
I bought the sgian and the dirk because tradition is that they are carried together and who am I to break tradition. Gotta say that I am so very happy with my decision. Both are just absolutely remarkable pieces and accent each other perfectly. The dirk is definitely the boss but the sgian means business. I love these knives. One minor beef; the button strap for the sgian is to close to were the blade goes into the sheath. Maybe raise that away so the blade doesn't get caught on the flaps. It's annoying to have to use both hands to put the little one away but the dirk is perfectly perfect in every single way!

Well made...
I bought two of these knives. One for me and the other one ...for me as well. The point is wickedly sharp!! I just love looking at it. The handle is just right for my hand.
My only minor issue is that I wish it had more of a hollow grind along the cutting edge. The blade is certainly thick and I'm positive it will stand anything thrown at it, but I'm not to thrilled that the cutting edge tapers to a semi sharp edge. Overall absolutely great knife to have, and a big fan of the M48 series.

Excellent knife
I bought this m48 knife for my zombie apocalypse survival kit. It is well made and very sharp. I am very happy with it.

Great Knife, BUT!
This knife is fine, good looking, well made, and has a good thick blade that is quite sharp.
However, the snap on the holding strap was so hard to undo, I had to cut it off.
The only way I could open it was with pliers, or a screwdriver.

NICE!
VERY thick blade with a wicked point. Gets "Oooh's" & "Ahhh's" from everyone I've shown it to. Slightly smaller than expected-especially the handle, but still glad I bought it!

Great knife, crappy sheath
I'm pretty happy with the knife itself. It's sharp, compact has a ring for a lanyard but the sheath... ugh. Better to have a solid plastic sheath than a silly rubberized one.
