I am blown away with this bayonet, looks and feels great. Has a pretty good edge for a bayonet, and seems made with good steel and hardness. Will be buying more.

I had to do a little file work on the bayonet lug and also on the receiver of my AR for the bayonet to fit like its supposed to, because the lug is slightly too small. I just re blued the metal on the receiver on the rifle and looks good as new. There is a little wiggle room, but the bayonet looks great and locks onto the rifle as it should and overall I'm happy with it.

Had to machine the bayonet receiver to fit A2 lug. Fits good with a little tweaking.

Well this bayonet does not seem to fit any AR-15 I tried to put it on. I wanted to sell it but was stuck with it since social midia does not allow knife sales except for cullinary knives. I got a new shotgun and I tried to mount it. NO go but it was a lost closer then my frineds AR15 so i did a little file work. Not much was required and now I have a bayonet for my riot gun. The shinny blade is perfect for riot use, you want people to see it and be a derrant to acting un lawful.

It's a nice looking bayonet but if your planning to use it on a m16a2 it's to small to fit over the lug.

Ordered one of these along with the black tactical M7 bayonet as a Christmas gift and also had recipients name engraved on both of them. This bayonet came defective. While the black tactical m7 bayonet functioned properly and looked great, this m16 replica style bayonet was unable to attach to the lug due to not enough space milled out of the pommel to allow it to slide over the lug. ( I’m not talking about the flash suppressor, had no issues with that ) Comparing the two side by side you can see how it is way off. I had planned on returning it for a new one but by time I go through the hassle and pay out of my pocket to ship it back and then wait upwards of a week for a credit to be processed it’s not worth it for a 16$ blade. Just going to order a new one and hope that it fits over the lug this time. I can say I’ve been a loyal bud k customer for 21 years and this is the only issue I’ve ever had. Not going to let this ruin my relationship with bud k.

This bayo looks very nice on your weapon, more so than the actual M7’s. That said, getting it to fit took some work on my part. The hole was too small to fit over the barrel of my rifle or over the mount on my 590A1. I had to dremel it down to get it to fit right, but I’ve had no problems with it since.

I took a small chance on this one and I was blown away. This knife is built tough and looks great. I went the extra mile and had the name of my business engraved on the blade just for cool as the both the gun and knife will be displayed on my wall. The bayonet and the engraving were great. I'll be ordering another just like it along with a few others tomorrow evening. If you're thinking about buying it DO IT...but wait until I do 1st. They really are that good and priced ridiculously low. Excellent deal!!

I bought this bayonet on a whim 2 years ago. This is very well designed with the exact specs of the real thing. I am impressed in that it sharpened to a razor sharp edge. I used 400 grit finishing sand paper to put a mirror shine on it. It's a meaty blade that means business. This coming from a combat vet.

I bought this on a whim with the hope that it would fit on my Mossberg 590 that had a bayonet lug. When I first received it the first thing I noticed was this was one chunky blade- it felt heavy and very durable. The handle is checkered plastic and it's kinda' uncomfortable on the hand with how coarse it us, but boy does it ever provide some grip. The blade is stainless steel, marked "U.S.M16" (as shown in images) but with "STAINLESS CHINA" stamped deep in the same way on the other side, so keep that in mind. When I tried to fit the thing on my Mossberg I found that while the actual ring part of it fit near perfectly over the magazine tube cap, the actual.. back part which I Googled and is called a "Mortise Slot" was too thin to fit onto the lug, but I took a cheap file to it, and with around 10 minutes of scraping it fit over the lug just fine with an acceptable amount of wobble. Best part? This cheapo chinese-made bayonet toughed it out while I spent a full day firing my shotgun with the bayonet fixed. On top of that, my buddy and I were driving the perimeter of his hunting property and came to a cluster of bamboo that we usually chop clear with machetes. I forgot my machete, but I did have this, and it was long, sharp and heavy enough that I chopped through several stocks of bamboo with minimal effort. I also decided to take the handle apart (fastened with two male and two female screws that meet through holes in the tang) and to my surprise the inside of this thing isn't some lousy rat-tail, it's actually identical to the anatomy of a proper M7 Bayonet. As for the actual crossguard, it's held in place by a pretty measly looking spotweld, but as said, this thing survived getting shaken and banged around on the end of my shotgun, so it seems to do the job. So, so I recommend this bayonet? Yes, absolutely.

Shipping was very fast. The knife in itself feels very solid and capable to do whatever task you needed to do whether it would be camping or just a deer camp knife. A little doll out of the box but that's no worries. I would definitely recommend this night for its intended purposes of camping in deer camp knife.

I had to grind the inside diameter of the ring to .880 because it was too small to fit on my Mossberg 490 military shotgun. It snapped on the bayonet lug just fine after enlarging the inside diameter. The bayonet is built strong with a full tang construction - the grips are plastic but should suffice for hard use and the checkering on the grips afford a strong hand grasp. Made in China but is of better than average Chinese quality. The sheath isn't great but will do the job. I bought two of these bayonets and am happy with my purchase .

I purchased two of these, one for my Mossberg 490 military shotgun with a bayonet lug and one just for a back up. However, I paid only $10 for each and they were well worth every penny. I did have to grind the inside diameter ring out to .880 to fit my Mossberg. This bayonet has a full tang and the guard is welded to the blade to keep it in place and from rattling. It is a very solid constructed bayonet with plastic grips that seem to be adequate and serves for a good grip of hand. The sheath is not great but sufficient to do its job. I can use it for a bayonet or for deep woods protection on my belt.

I have bought several of these due to the fact that today's military issue M7 bayonet is far too short for an M4 rifle. The barrel ring ID was too small for the flash hider and had to be enlarged to fit. I used my step drill for this and it fits perfect. No problem with the lug latch.

Ive been looking for a toothpick knife at low price so i tried this one out on a whim. Honestly i wasnt sure what to expect but my expectations were blown through the roof. This knife isnt in any way cheap and its probly the best knife i baught for that low of a price. It came shipped nice and all professional like with tracking and everything ez pz. The knife itself is high quality, i was stoked on how utterly prominent it is to hold it, it has a presence like no other you need to hold it to understand. Up here in montana i go trekking alot by myself and having this by myside with bear mace i feel protected enough. This knife is a must have and at that unbeatable price, get em while they last. 10 outa 10 Budk

As for a bayonet I had to enlarge the the ring inside diameter to fit on my Mossberg 590 military model shotgun. The bayonet clipped on the bayonet lug just fine, no problem there, just the I.D. ring had to be enlarged to fit correctly. The knife is well worth the price just to use as a self defense weapon, with a heavy duty blade and seems strongly made. The grips are of cheap plastic but does the job, no complaints. The sheath is decent but nothing special. Happy trails.

This bayonet is pretty decent for the money spent... Comes somewhat sharp... The sheath smells like real leather... I'm happy with the purchase, although I tried to attach it to my M4 AR-15 and it didn't fit (my AR isn't a Vietnam era rifle). I milled out a wider groove so it would fit the bayo lug on my rifle... Once I did that, I realized the barrel ring is way too wide in diameter and doesn't fit snugly around the barrel on my rifle. I'm going to attempt installing something in the barrel ring of the bayo to decrease it's diameter, such as a plastic grommet. Overall, not bad for a made in China replica, but don't expect milspec quality for ten bucks.

Hi, Kids! James Bond once said "Was ever a man more misunderstood?". That's the feeling I get about this knife (or bayonet, or whatever) from the reviews. First off, it's not a gen-you-wine military issue item right from Uncle Sam's hands to yours. It's a Chinese made stainless steel replica that sells for under ten bucks. Jeez, what do you expect? Excalibur? Set your expectations a bit lower. That being said I'll admit that I have no idea whether it fits an M-16 or not since I don't currently own one. I bought it as a knife that I can take outside and generally abuse for camping, gardening, fishing, etcetera and that's inexpensive enough not to worry if I loose it or break it. And that's where it shines (literally, it's polished stainless steel). It's big and thick and heavy and as long as you don't try any He-Man stunts with it it'll do the job. The only weak spot is, of course, where the blade is joined to the tang so don't use it as a crowbar. The handles are pretty heavy plastic and the sheath is good quality leather. I suppose that you could modify the end of a hiking stick to fit the barrel ring so you could use it as a spear or pole-knife if things get ugly on the trail. So unless you're planning a trip to the Amazon this will do very nicely and the price is right. Thanks for looking, and keep watching the skies!

Great knives for $9.99 I'm a machine is so I build the titanium adapter so I didn't have to adjust a lugs on the knife I also put a brass ring in the hoop so it'll fit over my flash suppressor and it is really great now

This does not fit the Colt AR-15 E2 HBAR 20" barrel which is supposed to be a civilianized M-16 ??.... That ridiculous "loop" that is I guess supposed to fit over the flash suppressor is waaay too large & like others have stated...The "replica" bayonet does not engage the barrel lugs...BUT... IT is WELL worth the price as far as a good edged & pointy knife/sheath combo... send the Chinese some correct AR-15 specs & I'm sure they'll get it to fit an AR-15 correct.... THEN it'll be a GREATER bargain

I purchased this knife thinking it would be a thin light piece of junk because of the price but boy was I wrong!!!!! This knife is very thick and sharpens to a razor edge with just a minor effort. I have a standard issue M16 bayonet that I was issued in the Corp and it isn't as heavy or as long as this knife is and my old bayonet just got retired and has been replaced with this fine knife! Way to go Bud-K - another winner blade in my book!

(5 out of 5)
This bayonet is well worth the money but does not fit my Smith and Wesson Sport AR-15 I was aware that the barrel ring would not fit on the flash suppressor because this is not a 20" government model. However the bayonet attachment post under the front sight is too thick and wide for the bayonet to slide into the catch. So not all AR-15 models have the same front sight post. At this point, I'm not sure how to remedy this problem.

This is a surprisingly good bayonet/knife. It's worthless as a mountable bayonet for use on a rifle, unless you do a lot of work on it,but as a knife it's not bad at all. A short time with a sharpening tool and this is a nasty knife. All in all, considering the price, you can't go wrong.

Great buy and even had a good edge out the box.I did sharpen it to my preference. But I prefer a blade to be sharp enough to shave.

This is a very good bayonet, but it is not designed for ANY AR-15. It's only for the M-16.

(5 out of 5)
The bayonet is sharp but the slot is too narrow for the bayonet lug. I tried it on 3 different uppers and it fit none. The hole was not a problem, slipped right over the A2 birdcage flash hider, but the slot is about .030" too small for the lug.

I've purchased two of these and they are lot of knife for the price. This is a large stainless steel blade and is rather imposing. I have one in our bug out bag, and the other I will use for a camp/survival knife. These are well balanced, will take a sharp edge and feel great in the hand. The build quality is very durable and I would recommend this over a more expensive knife for use as a utility knife. It can slice, chop, and even cut down sapling trees if you need to make an impromptu shelter, or use it to clear shooting lanes. This would also work well in dismembering deer sized and larger game for those hunters out there. You coul spend a lot more and probably get more features for a large knife, but why do that when you can get this knife that will do so much for so little?

My wasn't super sharp out of the box like others, mine could have been a defect. I do like the blade none the less. My only real problem is the handle. It feels like cheap plastic. The handle doesn't do the blade justice. Other than that I would buy this knife again.

Removed plastic handle halves replaced with Apple-wood sanded smooth wiped with linseed oil. I don't own an AR so I cut off the muzzle ring and ground down for a nice thumb guard also removed the latch assembly. Holds its own against any long knife, balanced, sharp, tough. It now sits nicely in it's sheath lashed to my Go-everywhere-Bag!

I stepped outside of my collecting preferences (Bowies) when I bought this one but it caught me eye and the price was right. It's a nice little Bayonet with a sharp blade and a nice sheath. I can't comment on the hole problem as I just bought it to dispay it. I'm happy with it. Bowie Man Dan in northern Maine.

Yes, the previous reviews are right about the inside diameter of the flash suppressor hole. Borrow a Dremel and fix it. It will be worth fifteen minutes of your time - unless you make doctor's wages. I favor this purchase almost as much as my twenty-dollar kukri. It's no wonder China is beating us so badly at production.. This Chinese bayonet = good for you / bad for the American industrial effort. Plus, this looks really sharp on a mid-length upper.

This is a very serious bayonet. Yes, the hole that the flash hider goes through is too small, but that is easily fixed. I removed the plastic grips and sanded the insides a little so they fit better. Blade is AWESOME, and is dangerous after being sharpened properly. A very good buy for $9.99, and outclases the original bayonet by far.

Unscrew your flash hider, slip the bayonet over the barrel and screw back on the flash hider. If you have to get it on or off quick, buy a cheap and smaller flash hider.

I am a member of the Cass County Honor Guard , there are 20 of us from Funeral to Funeral --We do the full Military Funeral --- I used the Bayonet to mount on an M16 air rifle, a helmet on top, ID tags and a pair of old boots. Together they make the battle field cross --looks nice with the ceremoney------- had to modify the rifle barrell to make it strong enough -- size it to go thru the hole in the handle --ever one liks it and the story that goes with it.

Thanks to the quick shipping, I received my bayonet almost immediately. It is a heavy, well made knife and conversation piece, which I purchased as a "souvenir." It is well worth the modest price, although I did not buy it to use as a bayonet or to fit on a rifle. Compared to the cost of similar items, I'd call this one a "steal."

From the revolutionary war to WWI and II. All the way through Viet Nam, and most of all Korea. The Bayonet has been THE Weapon of last resort. Five feet from the enemy, eye to eye. The awesome bayonet has saved countless lives. Easy to release from the sheath. Easy to conceal. Wars have been won one way, and one way only. Feet on the ground. I bought six (6) of these bayonets for my friends and me. They arrived quickly and were very sharp out of the box. They are very heavy duty. The only bad part is that the handle is the standard 5 inch length. They work great on the lug being within 5 inches from the flash suppressor. However, if you have the 16" length barrel, you'll have to buy an adapter to have it fit properly.

The blade on this knife broke clean off at the handle within minutes of unboxing. I wrote BudK an email and they responded within 24hours and stated that a new knife was on it's way. To be honest, the knife is $10 and you can't expect much from it. It breaking that way did reveal a bit about the knife though. That being it's not full-tang. The 'economy' knifes from China tend to take an actual; and in some cases impressive blade, and weld a pencil sized piece piece of scrap metal to the bottom of it. This knife is totally guilty of that, however, if you are expecting master craftsmanship from a $10 product, you're gonna have a bad time. 5-stars for excellent BudK service, 3-Stars for the kifes.

This is a well made bayonet. It looks to me like a combination of the M1 and M7 bayonets. This is every bit as good as my issue M7 and M9 bayonets. I would buy another if I had a use for one.

This is what I was looking for. At $9.99 this is not a fancy knife. It's not ment to be but it's a really good knife. To mount it on a rifle you either have to remove the flash suppressor or make the hole larger. I did the latter. Buy it if your disappointed, your way too fussy!

For $10, flat out awesome knife. Carries me back to my military days. I do not have a rifle to mount this on, I just like having the bayonet. I like it so much I got two of them!

I am conducting an experiment for the purposes of my online survival show and for this particular survey I ordered 15 knives and machetes from BudK, ALL of them PRICED $9.99 or LESS then compared upon delivery to see what I got for the money. This is ONE of the results - look for my other reviews for more info as some of the items were GREAT and some were not so great -- Here are the results for this item: This is an excellent deal for the price. If it didn't have the 'China' etch on the blade it would probably fool most people - this knife seems sturdy, and I wanted a bayonet for my AR. Of course it doesn't fit because of the flash hider on the rifle, but this is only because of the rifle accessory as the knife is historically correct. I recommend this item, definitely worth the price.

Best knife I own, only problem is the picture makes it look like it has a rubber handle. Well be warned it is plastic but it is good quality plastic and for ten dollars you won't find a better one .Thank you BUDK

A steal at under ten dollars! Bought a similar one from another outlet that cost more and was not nearly as nice as this one. Sturdy, comes sharped, with a nice leather sheath. I highly recommend it.

I bought one for historic purposes, but I noticed it fits and locks on my Remington M4 chambered in .223 perfectly. So props on the knife, came razor sharp, locks on solid without any mods. It will go in my bug-out bag.

I've seen a few reviews on this item and after I received mine 2 days before I expected I understand what problems some people may have. I have a 20' barrel on my 16 with the second Generation flash hinder, these hinders are the problem not the Bayonet, the correct fix for this is to purchase an original barbed wire cutting flash suppressor or one of the newer custom jobs, the bayonet wasn't supposed to fit on any 16s or ARs after the Vietnam War, as for the knife itself especially for the price you can't go wrong! You can modify the handle and make your own custom very easy but the blade itself and locking mechanism is Outstanding for a Bayonet, this is just another example why I have come to love and shop exclusively with BUDK!

I got this knife about a year a go, all I had to do was unscrew my flash suppressor off of my AR-15 and hook it on and the crew back on the flash suppressor, I have stabbed this thing through 2 to 3 inch tress so it will definitely. go through an intended target. Semper Fi.

The blade is strong and sturdy and clearly sharp. The only thing that I have noticed that could be a problem is that the connection between the blade and the handle doesn't seem to be very durable. The blade is much bigger than I expected and very mean looking I'm happy I got it and even though it may not be BEST quality nothing can beat this price.

I did not purchase this for using on an M-16, in fact I do not even own an M-16, I bought this for the purely historical aspect, and let me tell you this thing is amazing, it is balanced, it looks very nice, and I am sure if I had a rifle that could accept this type of bayonet, it would work.

Looks awesome on my AR15 with 2-inch barrel and triangular handguard. At least it looks good after I grind the bayonet lug slot so it’s the correct size. Btw, a real M7 has a 6.75 inch blade and overall length of 11.875 inches. The blade is not razor sharp but not dull like a butter knife, either. It is sharp enough to hurt you so be careful when handling. The stainless finish is of course incorrect for a replica, as is the length and improperly made bayonet lug slot. Still, great price, looks awesome, and I would buy another one for another build if that happens.

Had to widen the groove for the bayonet lug but not an issue as I bought it to modify to fit a 10.5" barrel anyway. It's worth the price and kept me from shortening the handle of an original.

The knife seems pretty sturdy and solid all around also sharpens very nice. Doesn't quite fit the standard bayonet lug, it's too thin to fit in the lug but other than that pretty good knife

It really surprised me when I got it, main flaw is the tip was broken just enough to make it useless at puncturing things. Sharpens real well though.

Saw one reviewers comment about this being made to fit the M-16 and not the AR-15. Well the Mossberg 590 is an issue weapon to the US armed forces and has an integral bayonet mount. This bayonet/knife has too narrow a slot to fit the mil spec mount on my 590 and the slot is too short to allow it to slide fully into position to allow the catches to engage. Have already dremel tooled the slot width but cannot get the grips off to mill them since one of the screws stripped out. Will require more effort to remove the dinged up screw to carve the grip for slot lengthening and finding replacement screws for the soft screws that came with it. Otherwise the blade is nice for the price and other than the poorly factory machined slot I would have given it a top rating.

As the other reviews state, this will not fit other AR's-at least not mine. With that being said, take a Dremel and a grind stone, a few minutes of grinding, and voila', it now fits my AR. For the price, it is definitely worth the effor.

the blade is decently sharp, the handle feels a bit cheap and there are distinct marks on the blade and its plainly visible which processes were used in its construction by examining the remaining marks. but for the price its a solid buy, it looks really cool. I haven't tried to affix it to a rifle, but as a standalone knife its not a bad buy. its a three star knife but a 5 star sheath so the total was three stars.

Great fixed blade knife, unbeatable price. Like the prior reviews, I noticed it doesn't fit over the flash hider. Great tips there on opening it to fit correctly. As noted, a person can use a Dremel tool/die grinder, or a drill bit that matches current A2 muzzles. I bought two, and it looks good on my .300 Fireball/Blackout upper!

I read the reviews about the size of the flash hider hole but it was worse than I had assumed. My guess was that the punch tooling used to make the hole was worn out but no, it's obviously designed as the wrong size. I have five A2 flash hiders and all of them measure very close to .860 diameter. The hole in the bayonet measured .740, so it took more die grinder work than I expected. Other than that (and how prominent the china stamp is) I l like it. It's sturdy, all of the parts fit together well, and it looks good on a stainless barreled rifle. The sheath is exactly what you expect on a $10 knife. Functional Overall, it's better than I'd expect for the price.

Is it a good knife? YES Does it fit my AR15? NO It probably will if I put on a Vietnam-era flash hider or make the attachment hole bigger. BUT It's a big, stainless steel, thick, sharp knife. FOR $10.

I had been looking at this knife for a while and finally decided to order it. I have had it for about a week and it is attached to my tactical vest. The sheath is just the right size that it slides down into the MOLLE webbing so it doesn't swing or rattle and stays close to my chest. The handle is a cheap but so far it has been sturdy, it just feels kind of cheesy. The blade itself is thick and came out of the box pretty sharp, it is a great thrusting knife though, nice combination tool. Well worth the $10 I paid. As far as if it fits your AR? Well considering it isn't an AR bayonet, nor an M-4 bayonet don't be surprised, and I carry an AK so I don't care.

I like this Bayonet. It appears to be a solid & well made knife for such a good price. I read the earlier reviews about NOT not mounting on the M-16 or AR rifles & plan to use it as a conversation piece. The original bayonet came with a M8 hard sheath that would attach to a web belt. The included leather sheath is nice but will not fit my web belt. It is worth the modest price.

The blade has nice heft to it, the flash hider needs to be removed to mount the knife on my M4 (*minus one star for that). Once it is on though the fit is great. Will be buying another for my Carbon15.

I had some doubts buying a bayonet for $10 however I too had a problem with it sliding over the flash hider on my Smith and Wesson M&P15. I had to open the hole a little bit and now it fits good. This blade is made good and is pretty sharp right out of the box. I had been looking for a bayonet for quite some time now and when I seen this one I had to give it a try, glad I did!

Nice blade, highly polished with a sharp edge. This must be Chinese engineering gone haywire. The ring is cut to the inside groove on the flash hider and as a result the bayonet can't be mounted. I decided to use a dremmel tool to open up the ring. Had to take about 2 mm all the way around. It was no easy task to keep the inside of the ring perfectly uniform. At the end it worked and the bayonet snapped right in and locked up. This will only fit the old style AR-15 with 20 inch barrel and will not fit an M-4.

I got this for my brother-in-law to use on his 10/22 Archangel set up. He too has problems with the guard hole being too small for the flash suppressor but I think he can take it off, if not we'll drill it. I was surprised at how sharp the knife was, expected it not to be sharp at all but it is. Nice weight too and it seems to be very durable. Way better than the plastic piece of garbage that came with the Archangel stock.

This M-16 type bayonet is strong and functionable and the plastic grip affords a good hand grip and I liked this knife for woods bumming and for self defense however the bayonet ring is too small for it's supposed purpose, it won't fit over the flash supressor as stated in other reviews without modification. I have a hand held grinder with sanding disks on an arbor and was able to grind the bayonet ring to a larger inside diameter and now it fits my Mossberg Model 590 military shotgun (has a bayonet lug on it), perfectly! The sheath is fair and you can't beat this knife for the price and I ordered a second one for a spare which tells you how much I liked this knife. If you don't need it for an M-16 bayonet you can use the bayonet ring for spear applications. I say to all you knife lovers (like myself) buy it, you'll like it.

I purchased two of these for parts to build a real bayonet. The guys whining about the hole being to small will happy they have made it way big now. The latch parts still need filing. I am contemplating lathing a chunk of pipe to use in my build and keeping one bayonet factory. All I'll use one for is stabbing a disrespectful box in the yard or intimidating the wildlife. All in all not a terrible buy if it fit.

Got for $16, I'd say it's worth $25. Handle has a little rattle, pretty dull. Didn't take edge easily, had to use a file. Will work as bayonet but I doubt for long if you really had to use it. Still though, fair price so no complaints.

I ordered this knife with some others. The other knives were great, but I was disappointed with this one. It’s a quality knife but would not fit my standard mounting lug on my AR15. Seems a little small in the locking slot. I’m sure it could be enlarged to fit but have not done it. Was hoping it would fit properly from the box.

True this is pretty nice for a cheap bayonet, I have a Bush Master AR and this does not fit. For one the bayonet lug is further back than the length of the handle, so the loop slides way pass the flash suppressor, might be able to move the stud forward. But even so, as another guy commented, the AR lug is thicker that the lug notch on the bayonet. So for now it sits in display with some of my other USMC stuff.

Ordered this for my A3 rifle and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and the knife was better than I had hoped for a 10 dollar knife. There was no edge to speak of and it did not fit my rifle as the hole that slides over the flash hider is too small of an opening on the knife. It will need some work to fit properly. Overall good buy for the money.

First look was WOW this is a lot larger than the bayonet that was on the end of my M16 back in the day. Really not an exact copy. It will not fit a M8 or a M8A1 US Army knife sheath which I wanted it for. It is big, sturdy, and a heavy knife that's made in China. It is just what it is, and that's OK. Worth the $10.

I should have read the prior reviews. As others have said, it will not fit on an AR15. It is too bad, the knife is well made for coming from China. It is sharp and looks nice. For 10 bucks it is worth keeping maybe if I take it to a drill press and ream it out it may fit.

BUT...needs some mod's with a Dremel. Steel is low-grade stainless, but that's good for the blade, it will stay sharp longer. Take the grip off, it's almost full tang. All in all, a tough, nice blade, if you're willing to spend a few minutes modifying. Chopped some oak logs with it and a 3lb sledge-survived that acid-test quite well. A nice Delaware toothpick!!!!

For only ten bucks, this bayonet was a must buy on principle alone. Once I got it out of the box, it was a sight to behold. It features a very strong sturdy blade, and the blood grove makes a great accent. I don't own an M16 or any other assault rifle, but it of course is compatible. The plastic handle is surprisingly sturdy, and the checkered grip does its job well. Looks very neat. You won't be let down. Sharp out of the box.

flash suppressor won't fit the whole of my AR15 But the knife for the price was very well done. I might just have to grind it out a bit more to fit. I just wish they made the handle with rubber rather then plastic.

This does not fit on an AR15 (or M16) without modification. The slot for the bayonet lug is too small and some have had trouble with the flash suppressor ring being too small too. With a little work with a grinder, I got it to fit. Good quality steel, plastic grips seem sturdy enough. Can't beat the price.

Even though it says it's supposed to fit the AR-15 platform, does not fit my M4. The locking mechanism is too narrow and does not fit on the bayonet lug. However it is a nice knife, seems very sturdy and strong. I did have it engraved with my dad's Rank and name.

The I.D. was 0.11" smaller than the barrel of the M16. Being Stainless Steel it took about 3 hours to drill out. It works fine now but too much work for a supposedly mil-spec bayonet. Other products I've bought are fine. This one ... eh.

This bayonet does not fit the M16. The ring that fits over the barrel is not large enough in diameter. This bayonet also has a much longer blade. The blade is a good heavy material and takes a good edge when sharpened. I'm going to keep this bayonet for other uses, but I had to order another one from another company to get the original bayonet for the M16.

I opened up the hole as mentioned in other reviews. I then realized that the bayonet did not fit the lug on 3 different AR's. For $10, it's okay. They should not call it an M16 bayonet though. If you want something that will function on a rifle, get an M9.

Unfortunately, this bayonet will not fit on my AR-15 because the hole in the hand guard for mounting it is too small to pass over the flash hider on the end of the barrel. Even if it passed, the handle is also too short for attaching it to bayonet lug (9 in.knife would only extend 5 in. past barrel if it could be installed.
