Product Description
This Legends In Steel Brass, Heartwood and Damascus Steel Sword takes you back in time with its medieval look and feel. The Damascus steel blade has an Old World look and feel with unique forging patterns and sharp edges on both sides. The handle is carved of striking heartwood with an elegant brass guard and pommel. A leather scabbard is included. This sword is a real beauty and impossible to pass up!
This Heartwood Damascus Sword is a very excellent broad sword, the blade was very well done, and razor sharp out of the box I believe this is a functional sword since it flew right through a gal. Milk bottle filled with water. The hilt was also very well done, a hand and a half handle, the brass fittings look great the guard is just the rite size and looks very nice, the brass collar on the handle was a nice touch, but the pommel is what stands out at least for me, it is practically four spikes of danger to any one stupid enough too try and take it from you. I recommend this beautiful sword to all, if you collect swords, wall hangers or not you must add this too your collection. Thank you BUDK.

My new toy
YAY! GOT MY NEW TOY! Its smaller then I thought it would be but still a nice sword, I thought the guard would be bigger but it will do, and thanks for sharpening mine it cut through its own box lol.
The pommel is cool to with that spikes look to it And the sheath fits on this one so no problems thanks a lot my friends at Bud K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool but thin, slight fixable snag.
Just came, too big for sheath.
I can cut out some edge foam inside neck of sheath, and see if it'll fit then. Came really greasy and smelly. Great knowing I have one of these nice swords.
Thanks budk.

My first sword, I'm calling it "Sherwood"
I needed a sword for Tai Chi practice, and didn't want a Chinese straight sword. This is more formidable! I asked for this for Christmas and it lives up to the description. Elegant but simple and rugged. The hilt is truly cool and stylish, feels great in the hands and not heavy. The blade is folded steel that you can feel and see, but perhaps not the best quality "Damascus" but I'm not an expert. I'm happy with it. It's sharp too, and perfect for basic weed whacking or stopping crime.
Flaws: The scabbard is not very good, and doesn't allow the blade all the way in, so the snap is useless. I'm not too worried about that because I still think the value here is good. The blade itself nice, but has a sort of slight bulge in the middle area so that if the blade is vertical you can see a slight bend where it was hammered a bit. This is ok, and gives it a natural look like it was forged in a forest. I had read that it was styled after a English woodland sword, hence I named it after Sherwood Forest. BudK was also very easy to work with about returning the first sword which had a bend in the blade that was sideways (with flat side up, the blade was curved to the side near the end). Overall, its a 4 star on the blade, and 5 star on the hilt.

Beautiful Display Blade
This sword is authentically beautiful, much like the shorter versions of it from Legends In Steel. The Damascus pattern is sexy, and the rosewood and brass compliment each other very well. It's a bit smaller than I imagined, but its still a good one handed or hand-and-half sword. For the price, it's one of the best display swords of its type. The reason I wouldn't give this five stars however, comes down to a few things. The sword is advertised as sharp, but its fairly dull; even running it along my skin didn't do much at all. I usually try my swords out against some water jugs -an easy target for a somewhat sharp sword- and it barely cut them. The blade on mine was also asymmetrical, so that the design doesn't line up with the point on both sides.
Overall, if you're looking for a great display piece with a Damascus glow, this is a great buy, especially for the price. If you're looking for something for cutting practice, you're going to have to start grinding this thing down pretty hard to get an edge - you might want to look at the other swords on the site made for it.

Good, but not great
*Pros: Looks absolutely stunning, sharp, and the picture doesn't lie.
*Cons: Sword came bent, sheath is a very tight fit and doesn't fit properly.
*Both: This sword is made of higher grade steel (that is not stainless steel), in this sense it is good quality, but more care is required. Be aware that blade length is correct but they fail to mention that the handle, guard, and pommel are more like short sword size (Guard-5.5in, from guard to end of pommel-8in, width of sword-2in).
*All in all- its a good looking sword and pretty good quality, and for the sale price I got it for, ~$68( double sales are amazing), it was worth it. However, in my opinion the full price of $90 would not be worth the buy. Hope this helps.

MEH
For less than 100 bucks, its not bad. The blade wobbles from side to side a bit in the handle, im gonna try dropping some washers down both sides of the blade to see if i cant sturdy it up. its sharp, but not razor sharp. still a neat sword.

not perfect.
This is a nice sword, But, Part of the Damascus look on the blade fell off when I unwrapped it. about the sis of a dime, both sides of blade. The blade by the hilt is very irregular and crooked. The Damascus look appears to be layered on the blade. Poor job. Dull.
