Surviving the toughest field testing you can imagine, the KA-BAR Kukri boasts excellent results in chopping and field use.
I bought this several weeks. The blade is good and so was the blade worth the money I spent on it. You should buy it you will not be disappointed!

Didnt Buy from Budk but...
I picked one of these up from a fair when i was 15 years old...I'm now 23 this blade sharpens well and has taken on anything i've thrown it at or cut with it..super durable blade and handle..the sheath is kinda lame but after 8 years of abuse it still holds up well, I'd recommend this Kukri to anyone looking to get a good quality blade!!

Mini Excalibur
This thing is great, I had a forest of ocotillo cacti in my back yard, and lets just say it won't be returning. On a hunting trip in was charged by a javelina and I left my .45 in the truck, a quick sidestep and this amazing blade neutralized the threat quicker than that pig thought it was. The weight amplifies your chopping power by 600 percent. Great deal, legendary knife. (Mini Excalibur) immaculately constructed ka-bar. Well done, it even out shines some of my 200+ dollar blades

This one is so good it's scary. Oh, and don't let it's size fool you, It's just as sharp as it's straight razor cousins. I know; I nicked myself accidentally when I first removed it from the sheath. Yikes!

This is a great knife. Fast delivery. I have put this thing through hell and its still going strong. Some of the paint has worn off from being used so much and the blade itself needs to be touched up every now and then but that comes with any knife. All in all if you are considering buying a kukri get this one well worth the fifty bucks.

The start things out quickly, I can honestly say I would trust this thing with my life.
The kukri came rather quickly, packaged nicely in a box with a thin amount of oil protecting the sharp edge of the blade from damage during shipping. Right out of the box it was sharp enough to cut through pretty much anything, I was and still am careful around the edge. I've cut myself numerous times cleaning it.
I can easily take down a large thigh sized tree down in a short amount of time, and then proceed to chopping it up into bits. If the need ever came, I could use the broad head to dig a hole. The only damage so far I've been able to do to the blade is chip the front end from when I was chopping a tree up on the ground, and I hit some rocks. It's not the part that matters however, so it is fine.
The only bad part of the kukri is the handle isn't as grippy as I would like, but a pair of work gloves with grips in the palm could fix that.
I recommend this blade completely. It will never let you down and for the price, is an exeptional blade.

Very durable
I've had mine for 7 years and put it through a lot of extreme abuse. I'm starting to look at a replacement now, as the tip has broken off and there are chunks missing from the blade. Also, as others are saying, the sheathe falls apart quickly. This may sound like a negative review, but I am confident that no other blade could have chopped through countless trees, (I cut down many over 2 feet wide) dug trenches in clay, chipped rocks to better shapes, hammered in nails, and even broken through a small safe. It also does intended jobs like clearing trails through brush with ease. However, due to the heft behind this blade, fatigue sets in quicker for strictly trail clearance than using a lighter weighted machete. The grip is excellent, but you will still get nasty blisters if you don't use gloves during prolonged use. Overall, it has served me far beyond what I expected, and I will definitely be purchasing another one.

Best knife ever, but...
My side arm. I choose to carry a knife, and THIS KNIFE is my right hand. The scabbard is lose fitting and low end, so if you buy this knife you should also get it a scabbard it deserves. The knife is perfect for the price, even though it is made in Taiwan. The black finish makes this blade feel like the fang of Cerberus, and it handles well. If you need a chopper, cleaver or a slasher, this blade will serve you well for a hundred years. Therefore, this is a blade you will pass down from father to son and mother to daughter.
