Tactical M7 Bayonet With Metal Sheath

I bought 2 and have an original they look just like it and booth fit my A2 AR rifles and fit my A2 CAR15 do not fit right on an M4 but an M9 was designed for them

I assumed this bayonet was made in China and that it wouldn’t be close to correct. Seems there are lots of bayonets out there that people call “M” even though they are not. This one measures 11.75 inches overall, and has a 6.75 inch blade. As best I can tell, that is same as a USGI M7 bayonet. Fit just fine on my AR, which has 20 inch barrel and A2 style flash hider. Did not have to grind or file on anything. Looks great and adds that finishing touch to a retro-style AR15. This bayonet blade is pretty sharp so be careful. Some bayonets get negative reviews for not being sharpened but that’s not the case here. You might not be able to shave with it but you can definitely hurt yourself with this thing. As best I can tell, this won’t work with 16 inch barrel unless you get the extension for bayonet mount. For me, this bayonet only worked on 20 inch barrel. No markings on blade or guard except for “China,” which I blacked out with a laundry marker for now. Plastic sheath with spring metal inserts to keep sheath on blade. Overall this is a nice M7 copy as far as dimensions, appearance, fit, price, and apparent quality. If you want an M7 bayonet for your AR platform rifle, want it to look reasonably correct and don’t want to spend a lot, this is a good choice.

I wasn't expecting much considering the country of origin, but for the price, I couldn't complain much. I ordered a couple of them and they arrived two days early. I have to admit that upon inspection, I was pleasantly surprised. These aren't bad copies! Even more amazing, they actually fit an A1 without modification. I still have the one I was issued during the Vietnam War and as far as the bayonet itself goes, appearance wise, the only significant differences are... a gloss finish & lack of markings. I don't know what type of steel any of them are. The scabbard isn't as good but passable. It's plastic and gloss black w/black nylon webbing. Well... they were... I bead blasted them which provided a very close texture to my original. I then refinished them with O.D. Green Cerecoat. Even the webbing is green now as it should be. Other than lack of markings, they are now 90/95% looking like my issue one. They turned out really nice! So nice in fact that I'll be buying more to again modify and give to friends. Can't beat the price & speed of delivery. I'm very happy!

Perfect fit on lug. Sits perfectly on muzzle device. 14.5” carbine length gas. Loose enough ring to pass standard a2 imo. Mine is super slim to match barrel width. Etching is amazing and perfectly placed on flat section, worth the 5 bucks. Sharp and beautifully finished. New Budk customer, will spend a bunch more money on good schit like this!

After opening the barrel ring a tiny bit with a rotary tool, I found the ring to fit over the flash hider very nicely. Then I noticed the second issue: the lug latch point was machined on a slight angle, tapering in towards the butt of the bayonet, which prevented the bayonet from latching onto the lug. Not a problem, I switched bits in the rotary, took a few minutes to grind the steel a little until it was straight. Now I have a 20” govt. profile AR (dang close to the M16A2 except for the Burst) and a very-sharp-out-of-the-box bayonet that mounts when needed. Loving life.

I bought this due to the reasonable price, $20 shipped! I read the reviews, and, no it will not fit an AK variant, it is an M7 clone for AR type rifles. If you can't recognize that, maybe you shouldn't own a bayonet in the first place. Regardless, Budk should fix the item description. I have an issued M7, and this copy is not nearly as good, but again, it was only $20. It took about 30 seconds with a Dremel to open up the ring to fit a standard A2 flash suppressor. It was 0.010" undersized (0.849" ring, flash hider was 0.859") Easy fix. The handle is plastic, as is the sheath. Makes a great display piece. Happy with the purchase, and will buy from Budk again!
