Product Description
The Hibben Warbird Folding Karambit is so eye-catching yet so completely functional, as you’ve come to expect with a Gil Hibben original. You’ll always have a tool in your hand that can be used every day. The folding karambit has a 3 1/8” 7Cr17 stainless steel, curved blade with a dark grey titanium coating. The razor-sharp blade can be easily deployed using the flipper to access the smooth, ball bearing opening system. The patent pending blade covering mechanism allows the karambit to have a blade the full length of the handle without risk of cutting a finger when closing it. The open-ring handle scales are of dark grey linen Micarta, secured with blue screws to match the metallic blue liners. The karambit is 4 3/4”, when closed, 7 1/2” in overall length, and has a blue metallic pocket clip with the Hibben Knives logo.
I’m pretty happy with the blade. I’ve carried a karambit as a pocket knife for 10+ years, and even learned some combat methods. What immediately stood out to me was the length of the blade. Most of the time, a karambit pocket knife blade length is short, but with this, the blade length exceeds the hole, so there’s a little protector that slides into place, very smoothly and neatly that protects your finger from getting cut in the hole. It flips up when the blade is deployed. The extra blade length is nice, and intimidating. The blue color, swift action, and even alignment of all the working parts gives it a certain grace and elegance. I would even carry this while wearing a suit, or while wearing blue jeans and a work shirt. It’s a very versatile tool, good for everything from cutting rope, opening packaging, and slashing through arteries with the ferocity of a warbird.

Great knife and outstanding customer service
This is a beautiful knife that is well crafted and very sharp. I bought two, one for my son and one for my nephew. And I must add, BUDK has wonderful customer service! After making my initial order which I didn't receive after several weeks, it was discovered my package was lost by UPS. I called BUDK on Dec. 21st and filed a lost package claim. BUDK refiled my order to include having my son's and nephew's name engraved on the knives, reshipped them and I had them at my house on Dec. 23rd in time for Christmas! Plus they even knocked over $20 bucks off the original price. Alot of businesses could take a lesson from BUDK!!

Warbird Karambit
This is my new EDC knife until I purchase something new. Blade came sharp out the box, the blue and grey color combination is what first caught my eye. It's a bit uncomfortable in the hand and should of been designed to fit larger hands. That's the only thing bad about buying stuff online, you can't try it on for size and test the product first. So, it's always good to read the reviews from a good number of websites that offer the same product.

Best overall pocketknife
I love Karambits, the shape is my favorite along with Stilettos. This knife I use for everything. It's always stayed sharp without anything. There is some type of blue paint that I am sanding off of the blade. Achieving a silver color will be hard on the blade but I like the way that looks. Handle is okay but it would be better in black or Hellfyre theme. This replaced an all steel folding Karambit from Wartech with a nice partially serrated blade which is better, but this knife is very light and extremely easy on the pocket area. The up and down size is what really bothers me while walking or working out in the shop. Strong, had only one problem and fixed it with Howard Cutting Board Oil i use for my holsters. The blade came out without locking. That is why I carry this in the rear pocket but with the clip sticking out, guess the knife was really filthy with lint or whatever. Been like a year and a half since I got it and still like new, sharp. I just like the type of knife without the pinky hole, and this can be grasped either way.

Great Collection Piece..with a few notes
Overall - a very cool collection piece. The blue is absolutely striking. The handle feels really interesting and cool in the hand. Lock worked fine for me. The grip fits a smaller hand like mine but I can see it being an issue for larger hands. The finger hole is well designed, the back catches you just a little on flips but you just have to open your hand a little. Blade is razor sharp, excellent quality. The ball bearing open is very smooth I think. So besides the minor design points I think this holds true to the Hibben quality. Actually - cool trick I just found. The guard that allows the blade to be full with actually allows you to pop the blade and flip it open as well. So versatile in many ways as well
