Product Description
Gil Hibben is a giant in the knife design world and the new Gil Hibben High Polish Karambit illustrates the uniqueness of design that he always brings to the table. The karambit is constructed of 5Cr15MoV stainless steel and has a handle that features black linen Micarta scales and nickel pins. A premium black leather sheath with the Hibben Knives logo completes the package. When you invest in Gil Hibben pieces, you are getting the cream of the crop in design and quality.
Great quality/good price. Pics of both I purchased in November/2023. Coated them with three in one oil. Sharpened them with kitchen knife sharpening stick put a very sharp razor edge on both. Also used same oil on sheath including insides of straps so no dry rot. I really like the long curved blade when held in reverse grip. Really like the belt loop on the sheath. I hook both up with a dog collar in pic then put them both on my e d c carry bag when out and about. Got name laser engraved on them as well. Everyone in my karate class are ordering two they told me. Affordable price for me, great quality my thoughts.

Don’t leave home without it.
High polished blade and pretty sharp along the edge. Don't face the Apocalypse nor the economic collapse without one in each hand!

Sharp and very large
This knife came razor sharp right out of the box. This is a great looking knife that would be a wonderful display piece , unfortunately I purchased the karambit for actual use. This knife is to big for actually wielding it as it was intended . I have large hands and when the knife is gripped properly, there is to much of the handle open between my hand and the blade. As for carrying comfortably on your belt, well just look at the pommel design . A well designed knife should not injure the user.
I do think it is a great looking display knife but it isn’t practical for actual use.

Good stuff
It's good quality and reliable but I found that the handle was a little short for my hand and also that the one Spike the faces up with constantly poking me in the side so I had to grind it off but overall after I ground it off excellent razor-sharp and holds an edge wonderful

Awesome knife, wish there was a lefty version
Great blade, another high quality piece as are all the Hibben knives I've bought.... just wish it were available with a left handed sheath

Gil has done it again
I've been a fan of Gil hibbens work for a long time. I must say this knife is something special. Razor sharp out the box, good comfortable grip, and a nice matching leather sheath. Like all his work, you get what you pay for. Well done. Thanx budk

This is my second karambit and my first Gill Hi Ben. Awesome!!!This knife makes my other karambit cry. Excellent quality. Good weight and a nice thick sheath. It's my daily belt knife. It came sharp out of the box and has a fierce look. Order this knife! You can't go wrong.

Very Happy
Tis is by far my favorite BudK purchase to date. Unlike many United Cutlery knives designed by Gil Hibben, the sheath on this one fit perfectly right out of the box. It's a very attractive looking piece and is made well. The blade came factory sharpened well enough and after honing it on ceramic was razor sharp. a lot of karambits don't fit larger hands well, but this one does. There's other similarly priced karambits out there, but I recommend this one over all others in the price range.

G.H. Karambit
It's like everything Gil designs, quality knives and matching quality sheaths. I am not entirely fond of the grip however. The one design aspect I absolutely don't care for is the fore-finger groove near the edge. ( I also had to sharpen it.) I think I will Dremel tool that blade edge/corner to avoid cutting myself. My biggest disappointment was waiting for it to deliver. Fed Ex? Really? SO CHEESY! They got it here in 3 days when it should only take two days and then gave it to U.S.P.S. and it took 2 more days. Post office would've gotten it here faster if you just sent it through them or U.P.S.! No accurate tracking either, Just generalizations. All in all, this Karambit is the best one I could find.

Great Blade!
I must admit I was pleasantly surprised when I received this blade. From a quality and durability standpoint, it is a great value for the price. I was looking for a karambit style fighting knife that would be highly functional, reliable, and intuitive in feel and balance. This blade has exceeded my expectations. At first the grip felt a bit weird, but when ii began to handle the blade as a fighter, the blade molded to my grip and flowed smoothly as I practiced the various angles of attack. I immediately fell in love with this blade. Kudos to Gil Hibben!

awesome karambit
Just got my Gil Hibben karambit today and wow this is a very nice knife came highly polished and sharp as a razor. I saw reviews of the honshu karambits and I am glad I waited for this to come back in stock typical Gil Hibben quality and BudK prices. If you want a deadly knife this is it thanks BudK.

Gil Hibben Karambit
This knife comes highly polished just as it says and very sharp. This is the best karambit I have ever seen, I have many different karambits none compares to this Gil Hibben. 9.25" makes this knife bigger than any other Karambit. The leather sheath is very well made and the knife looks excellent on my side. I can't imagine any one could find any fault with this knife. Thank you.

It's just ok
Typically I love Hibben knives, I have a few of them. This one however, could be better imho. There are a couple different options for holding it in either forward or back grip but, none of them are particularly comfortable for me. While the blade is razor sharp, I'm reasonably sure I could snap it quite easily. Luckily this knife doesn't see much use beyond occasionally opening a letter or package, it just hangs around looking cool, which it does. This certainly won't deter me from collecting more Hibben knives.

Ok
I have small hands for a guy my size, the handle was still barely long enough.
The ring position is slightly uncomfortable in the standard grip. A reverse grip, a big part of a karambits design, not a possibility.
As a blade, it's very attractive, high quality. Missing half it's functionality, big hit.
