I really love this cross bow. It has an adjustable stock and the handle is adjustable also. Even though I didn't get the full package I absolutely love it! I bought extra alliuminum bolts also. I'm ready to go. It was easy to put together and it is a shooting machine! Great value for 50 bucks.

Getting it strung took some work. Look up the setup video for help assembling it because the instructions are lousy. It takes a bit of arm strength to cock it but it's fairly accurate and fun. For the price you can't really fuss too much about the materials not being the sturdiest--so far the string is starting to fray just a little but it's been fired plenty and replacements are available. It's surprisingly sturdy considering the size and cost and it's fun.

I was originally looking for the hell hawk but they are out of stock then I saw this one and said that will make a good second choice. And I'm so glad I got it string it is a bit difficult but the results are just mind blowing for a little thing it packs one heck of a punch.l got myself in trouble with the lady because I shot it at my dart board and it went through the board and into the wall. I'm so glad that I got this one instead highly recommend it big big ????????????

I’ve bought 6 of these for myself and as gifts about 5 years ago. They’re all still working flawlessly. Original strings and never been unstrung. My primary one I have probably fired 300-500 times by now. Zero issues. I was the rail every 3-5 shots with chapstick. This will easily take 2 legged game if needed. I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end. Highly recommend. In fact I’m about to order a couple more right now.

Wow ! Definitely Not a Toy !! Adult Supervision Required ! BUY a stringer, it is a pain to string it otherwise. I finally used a 1" Ratchet Tie-Down to draw the bow down to get the string on it. Then I waxed the rails and waxed the string before firing it. Performed Awesome ! For lack of a target, I ambushed a 5-gallon plastic pail full of water. The sights factory setting were about as perfect as you would get. The unsuspecting pail had a 6-inch slash in the front. The arrow did not go all the way through because of the water. Yup, I am impressed with this little jewel. NO broken arrows, it exceeded my expectations and I just ordered additional wax, 48-Pack of Arrows and 3 more strings for the long haul. I suspect with routine waxing the rails and string, I should get good service out of it. A drop or two of oil on the trigger mechanism, before I shoot it again and its good to go! 5-Stars !! I highly recommend this one for any wild game that's within range, its a pretty powerful little crossbow. Just attach it to the outside your Bug-Out bag and you're good to go. I'm Never disappointment with CH Kadels.

Have this and tested and reviewed it. It is fine for the designed purpose of acquiring small game animals. It does take practice, but it is fun. I would buy extra bolts as well.

Great little crossbow for the price. Slap a 30 dollar red dot sight on it and get it sighted in and you are good to go. I would like to remind you to keep bow string wax handy and buy an extra 3 dollar string for backup. It's a very lethal crossbow don't be fooled by it's size.

I just got my crossbow in the mail and after a little assembly and pathetic attempt to string by my self with just arm strength I got to see just how awesome this thing is. Thank you BUDK for giving this to me and I can't wait to see the next BUDK by request.

Awesome piece of crossbow. Way accurate if you do your sites correct and definitely have family/friend help you string it. Keep away from kids...serious deal. I bought it for amusement but respect this bow. Love it.

I got this a few weeks ago and I love it. The self cocking makes loading it much easier. I've shot it at trees in my yard and liked how the bolts didn't bend or anything.

Here in Scotland we are not allowed firearms, but we can have crossbows.I have one of these and find it superb for the price. Very easy to string with the right method.Take of your shoe and put a foot on the limb close to the centre. Press hard with your foot and with the opposite hand pull the opposite limb up. You can use your leg to push the body over as well. Then just attach the string.I always remove the string when I don't require to use the bow.Very easy to do.

Super nice! Ordered as a Christmas gift (actually bought two) and received it earlier than expected. Looks good, shoots good. The cocking lever makes the cross bow even easier to use. Definitely need to order extra bolts though.

This is a great weapon. It is much easier to cock than other pistol crossbows thanks to the leverage the cocking system gives you. This makes a great small game hunting took. It is small enough to place in a back-pack and would work well for an emergency kit.Though a firearm would be better, this would work for home defense as well if you can not afford a better weapon, or otherwise can not get a firearm.

I have a lot of fun shooting this Xbow. I pushed the limits on distance during shooting and it is stronger than I thought it would be and reloading is quick. I would get plenty of bolts and extra string but I think they hold up well enough.

I just received my crossbow today and I have to say I'm genuinely impressed. Powerful, easy to assemble and very light weight makes it a perfect option for killing zombies with style ( or soda cans in the back yard) either or, you will not be disappointed with this xbow. Recommend buying extra string, arrows and xbow wax to maintain the bow string. This was my first purchase from Budk and I received it in less than a week. Excellent quality item and accurate out of the box, hit the bull's eye on the first shot with the target cut outs on the back of the box. Thanks Budk.

As has been said, Very hard to string but once you do look out. This is not a toy and does have some mean power. I only use steel arrows, which you can get a bunch real cheap on Amazon. Have fun and be careful of what you aim at, cause it will stick it hard.

This thing is hardcore! It looks like a toy, till you receive it. Dynamite comes in small packages, and this is no exception. I wanted a crossbow for many years, and I'm glad I purchased this one as my first. I shot this at a pellet trap for kicks and giggles, and it actually broke the pellet trap (the back blew out). Though it has a seemingly low velocity, it sinks these pointed bolts deep into whatever they hit, and with crazy force! Underneath the flimsy sight, there is a dovetail rail, on to which I've mounted a dot sight for better accuracy. I actually keep this for home defense, since it's intimidating on a primitive level, very quiet, somewhat lethal, and one can maneuver around tight indoor spaces with ease. You can find an armband quiver on ebay. I'd highly recommend Barnett lube wax, and a couple extra strings. The plastic bolts found on budk are great for target practice; they stick well, and are super durable. The metal bolts are more accurate, hit with more force, and are a better choice if you want to make your target bleed. You can easily take out small game with this. Don't shoot your friends with it, unless you want them to hate you from a hospital bed. It's not Nerf, and these bolts can easily penetrate bare flesh, so use it responsibly.

Very impressed!!!! Was hard to string, but managed ok. I'm a little person (midget) so my sausage fingers made it difficult.i bought this to take care of some pesky neighborhood cats, and boy it did the trick. I now only hunt big game with it, took it to southern Africa and took down Water Buffalos and a large Black Rhino. I used the stock darts, people don't believe me when I tell them of the amazing accuracy, since I'm 100% blind in both eyes, but its true. Truly amazing

This is my first crossbow, but what a great product! (I actually bought 2 more). A couple tips for anyone interested. Buy extra strings and darts/bolts because they break. Second, many others have mentioned how hard this is to string by yourself, and they are right, but there is a very easy way to string this by yourself. Get an empty and sturdy bucket like a 5 gallon bucket you can buy at Walmart. Push the crossbow into the bucket (business end first) and the bow will compress and is easy to string. I actually built a block out of wood as it is less likely to scratch the bow. I hope this helps.

Would suggest a stringer a eighty pound bow is a challenge for one person to string this crossbow is easy to string and is accurate. It is just fun to use almost anyone can enjoy shooting with it. Also great for home defense.

I've bought 2 of these bad boys... the 1st. about a year or so ago and then this one just recently. The old one didn't break, I just sold it to a friend for $50, which is fair 'cause I strung it (which is a bit of a chore, but if it wasn't it wouldn't be so amazingly powerful). Anyway, I highly recommend this easy to cock and load lil' bad azz motha... it'll easily kill a variety of small game if that's what you wanna do with it. How powerful is it? Well, I regularly put darts into the 6" target from 30 yards (it's quite accurate if you practice) and they penetrate 1/2" drywall (new, not some old soggy junk) and continue on to bury themselves another 1/2" into the tree I use as a backstop. The gold anodized darts are the more accurate ones, the black plastic ones get easily bent and the slightest warp in the shaft affects your accuracy, so I recommend using the aluminum ones. One hint, when you put the string on, make sure the plastic caps are securely seated on the ends of the bow and after you put the string on one end twist it a few times and then hook the other end on. Your bow strings will last longer. If you don't do that, any loose, floppy fibers get shredded by the brass that the string slides across when you pull the trigger. Last but not least, the safety is well thought out. Just flippin' the lever silently forward with your thumb just before you fire is a piece of cake. Good design! Have fun shootin' stuff with it. It's a blast!

The quality of the product that I was expecting in view of the price significantly exceeded expectations. It is definitely not a "toy" and should be used with caution. Once the sites were dialed in, I was getting roughly 2-3-inch patterns at 10 yards. I was breaking bolts when shooting at a standard archery target (straw), NOT because the shafts were breaking, rather, the bolts were penetrating the target so deep that the fin assemblies literally popped off leaving the shaft buried deep in the target. I was amazed how such a small (and relatively easy to cock) pistol crossbow could launch a bolt with such force. It took me a few minutes to figure out the safety (it's actually very simple) so if the trigger gets "stuck," it is probably because the safety is engaged and NOT due to a malfunction. Other than that, the string on my unit started to unravel at the ends after the first 1/2 hour of shooting, but getting a replacement string is trivial. Very cool crossbow for the price.

I live in a condo so space is limited. I put a target on the patio, open the garage door and shoot through the door onto the patio. all this is possible because of this little dynamo self cocking crossbow. I can practice an hour to two hours a day. I love it.

This crossbow is a lot of fun as well as functional. Taking it on a hunt in a week for a farm in north Florida that is over run with wild boars. I recommended to my friends at my Cigar lounge and to no surprise some purchased! Need to find some better bolts though. Minor setback. Cant wait to try more Bud K Products!

This is an awesome crossbow very fun and very powerful but I will warn you that the bolts are weak as F basically a one time use however when you run out and you will bic pens make a pretty good bolt if your shooting at something close and soft also watch the pressure guard it loosens pretty easy other than that this is super bada** and great priced crossbow.

The bow is excellent however the string that came with the bow lasted 10 shots and then snapped after unraveling---be sure to buy extra string at the time of purchase of the bow. The extra bolts are well worth the money, too.

I bought this crossbow because of the good reviews. I am quite impressed with the power of this bow. The only problem I had with the bow was the stringing, and even that didn't take much time. If your looking for a good reliable pistol grip crossbow, don't even consider looking at any others. This is one great bow.

After reading other post, I thought it was going to be a dog to string. Not So. I made a bow stringer using 550 paracord with a bowline knot in each end. Put the bow string on one end of the limb, then put the paracord stringer over that and on the other end of the limb. Cocked the bow, fished the bow string through the stringer and onto the bow limb. Placed the front end of the bow on the floor, scotched it with my foot then cocked the bow again and while holding it in that position, released the safety, squeezed the trigger and let the paracord stringer down easy and removed it. Bow strung. No cracked limbs and done alone. Hey, if a 75 year old great grandaddy can do it this easily, you know you can.

this mini bow is a awesome piece of good workmen ship it has a good recuve action and is silent and deadly all at once iam surprised because alot of bows will have a little whistle or hum when shot or fired this cobra does not have this issue at all that is why this bow excellent for small or big critters I would recommend it for any body who like silent but deadly all at once

I ordered mine a few months ago & had read reviews about this piece. Seems there needed to be some "fine-tuning" before it was good to go.I followed these pre-cautions, concerning cutting of the bow-strings. Also got some teflon spray & string wax.My lot is 75' & I'm hitting circle every time with NO STRING WEAR!! I'm definitely thinking of getting another one! The only thing negative about this pistol-bow, is having to "fine-tune" it, BUT, well worth the time & the price can't be beat for what you get!!! Heck, if you're unsure about the "fine-tuning" just send it to me with $20.00 & I'll do it fer ya! ;)

I just got my bow yesterday. It was h**l to string and it took a combination of three of my strongest friends but it's well worth it. While it doesn't actually cock itself the system makes it a whole lot easier to fire rapidly. When carried it's weight is barley noticeable. Word of warning it's powerful enough to shoot through multiple thin doors at distance so human flesh isn't much of an obstacle. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

Great buy! It was a bit difficult to string by myself, but not impossible (use a pillow and the floor). Wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first crossbow of any kind, but this far exceeded what I imagined. It is very accurate once sights are adjusted and super easy and fast to cock/reload. My only complaint is that the assembly directions are a bit vague. I ended up doing what I think it meant and placing the two rubber pads on either side of the bow part with the metal stopper on the outside (screw side). So far no issues.

I got this a while back actually so I could test it for squirrel and Blue Grouse hunting. It was pretty accurate and had a good range. I didn't get either a squirrel or a grouse with this thing (that is my fault though because I did see grouse, I just forgot to bring this little baby with me) but it definitely had the power to take one down. Also a side note if you think the regular bolts that come with it are too small to hunt with, you can buy the aluminum or carbon crossbow bolts and cut them down, they do fit in this crossbow and they penetrate better than the ones that come with it, you can also add broadheads. I recommend mechanical broadheads for small game, and although I havent tested it you could probably take a turkey with this if you had good aim. I know if they came within 10 yards I could hit one in the neck or head. On top of all of this, this little crossbow is just plain fun to shoot, and if you have a good backstop such as a phone book you can shoot it indoors with no worry. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have a little fun whenever they can, and for some small game hunters as well. If you are having doubts as to if you can hunt with this or not don't worry, this crossbow has got the power, the accuracy, and the range to kill small game or pests humanely. And if you outfit it with cut down crossbow bolts with broadheads, you could probably take a turkey with it. One thing I did notice though is that if you are carrying another weapon, such as a compound bow for archery season or a rifle for rifle season, it can be a bit awkward to carry this around in addition to your rifle or bow. I got around this by using some string to fashion a 3 point style sling that stowed the crossbow away from my arms for when I was using a bow, and to my left side for when I am using a rifle. Thats all i got so good luck and happy hunting.

Outstanding product! Wow this pistol crossbow packs a wallop. Easy to load, easy to shoot, quiet and accurate. At 50 feet it was going completely through 1/4 wood and I had to back it up with a high density block target bow. Order extra bolts! I just wish I could find some kind of quiver or carrier for the bolts, but I love this baby!

Well what can I say, was kinda sketch at first, 80lb crossbow 40$ O_o. Later find out the sketchy thoughts become a total SCORE!!!! I love every thing about this piece, the handle a lil meh but replaceable to ones liking. One thing I'd watch out for though is the target you'll be using, remember its an 80lb pull with 200ft per sec lol if u aim at trees you will mess up your bolts. Thanks BUDK and I'm sure your other products won't let me down :)

I have hunted most of my life and I am over 60yrs old now, this is a kick butt crossbow. I have owned another but love the auto pull and light weight. If you think this a toy have fun, but if you are serious small game hunter this is the one for you. No jokes is has much more power than you would expect and I use it in place of my 22 cal rifle when I don't want to make noise, it's just as effective. PS it is also a lot of fun to practice with, can put a hole just about thru anything !

This is a freaking beast! I love this crossbow! This thing can accurately shoot bolts for larger crossbows. I just had to trim off the feathering. I also successfully adapted it for bow fishing, I haven't shot anything living yet. But I have a feeling whatever I shoot, it will go right threw.

First thing, do NOT fire this in the home. It will go through whatever cardboard or foam target you put in front of it. First trial I shot the box it came with, packed with some foam, and I had to pull it out of the flooring under the carpet. Don't do that...

A very powerful hand-held crossbow. I knew from the reviews to get extra bow-strings and I'm glad I did, but using some bow-string wax really makes 'em last a lot longer. I fired it into the side of my garage from 15 feet away and I was shocked to find that the tip had penetrated all the way through the wood (approx. 1/2 in. pine) and I needed pliers to get it out and had to glue the metal tip back on so I could reuse it. It'll kill cats, possums, groundhogs and even zombies if you shoot 'em in the eye. Have fun!

UPS delivered the weapon as I left for shift yesterday. On my lunch hour I easily assembled the components and simply could not wait to shoot. Conscious of the draw weight and 200lbs capability I was hard pressed to safely fire the crossbow. Office pens. without flights and improperly weighted I needed to fire 6 inches off pavement and level down the length of the parking lot. I challenge anybody to throw a ballpoint the 150 feet I was able to get them to travel. Now all of my office equipment has officially had it's trial by fire. Not recommended of coarse. Use only crossbow rounds designed for this weapon.

I didn't think it would be this powerful!...I took it out of the box & put it together with my friend...(first crossbow)...adding the string was a witch!...Like I said first timer so will learn...idk how to adjust the sight yet but was pretty spot on...we both hit target....order extra plastic arrows...have a solid backing on target because if u go to deep with arrow it destroys the plastic guiders (don't know terms)at top of arrow...tip went in deep in my 2x14 inch wood plank!...Will order from again...thanks budk!

First of all it came sooner than expected, I purchased the bow, spare plastic tips, and couple spare strings. Its AMAZING!! Very accurate, powerful, and inexpensive. The stock bolts are OK but I got the spare plastic ones they show in the budk video because they are less likely to break. Compact size, devastating power, and just great to shoot. For $40 bucks plus shipping its a great deal.

This small thing is potentially harmful. With that said I got one, put it together, and shot it at a tree in my backyard from about 30 feet. The dart hit the target and penetrated the tree 3 inches. I would tell any grown up to get this. Also good for home defense. Five star to the second power.

I first bought the 80 lb. $19.99 and man what a piece of junk. It actually misfired in my home. Budk was extremely cooperative with the exchange/refund and I got the Cobra Pistol Crossbow and what a difference. The item is well worth the price and I highly RECOMMEND this to anyone looking for an excellent pistol crossbow. It is very powerful and we have a little surprise for the pesky possums that attack my dog last week. The accuracy is great and I might be getting these as Christmas gifts. The fact is that when you have a problem with a product and you buy it on line like I did BUDK delivered. I am and will continue to be a customer of BUDK AND I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND WEAPONS LOVERS.

I give the item 5 stars. However I payed for 3 day shipping and it took 3 business days just for them to ship it out of their building. Kinda disappointed but it was worth the wait. Thanks BudK.

I ordered this crossbow a few months ago.Took it out on some field tests. I was gobsmacked by the power to torque ratio. My brother is getting weapon envy but he was also nice enough to take his Teflon bow aerosol and give the ole string the ole thrice over with the spray. I took it to the archery range and clocked in about 8,000 hours of use and my string hasn't broke yet. I love my new Cobra System Crossbow.

I really like the crossbow. It is easy to load, but darts are easy to lose ( it only comes with three). I would be sure to order extra darts when I ordered this item. Great product for the price!

this is an excelent crossbow the only problem i had was putting it togther but other than that ive had no problems p.s. for replacement bolts buy the aluminum cause the plastics heads will stay in the target and the shaft will fly outward

Pretty good honestly, I really didn't need directions to assemble it (they wouldn't have been much anyways). Once it was put together it pierced well through a book... The whole thing seems a bit shaky to an extent I cant Really fix, but it hasn't broken. The aluminum bolts dead bend within the first few days but the tips are salvageable and the bolts are easy enough to replace. The cocking of it is very easy and smooth (to me at least). The metal pad helping to hold the bow in place falls off almost every five times I cock it. This is annoying but acceptable for the price, its not hard to put it back and tighten again. The string is beginning to unravel a bit, but I can replace it easily, I'm just worried it might snap in someone's face. However these are my only real criticisms aside from the rough grip. It shoots great, you can add accessories, its light enough, I'm very satisfied.

Nice crossbow. Had a little trouble getting the bow into the slot designated for it, but the grip has a nice feel to it. I haven't taken it hunting yet, but I'm pretty excited. I think it will be very nice.

Finally came in the mail today and I was so excited to put it together! The instructions were lacking, but I finally figured it out after some trial and error. Of the three bolts I fired, one broke and one found its way embedded into the ground somewhere while the last one stuck itself way deep into my archery target. Once constructed, this hand-crossbow is a monster! Very happy with my purchase.

Read the instructions twice and still had problems with assembly and use. Went to Youtube and watched video of stringing bow and firing. I didn't realize that a safety lock even existed on the crossbow. It works well and I would buy another. Just a word of warning, be careful of what is behind the target.

I purchased the cobra after reading reviews of cheaper crossbow pistols. The reviews were dead on, the bolts are terrible. Most break on the first shot, and all were the plastic meets the aluminium shaft. I don't know how a company can sell such an inferior product as those arrows.

Yes it is hard to string BUT once you get it together it is very fun, arrows are good. Will not be unstrung to store!

Good buy overall. The bow string that comes with it started to snap strands after the first shot, so buy a replacement or two. The darts are alright. Shot one through a 2 inch thick cardboard pallet, and it still went into the wall behind it (Plastic fins ripped off during penetration). The tips like to unscrew themselves and are overall not very well secured, but some loctite fixed that. Make sure to buy a pack or two of extra darts, as the tips are not standard size for bolts and if lost are not the easiest thing to replace. Make sure to also put some loctite on the bolts holding on the brass plates as these tend to rattle loose fairly quickly. The small latch that holds the cocking lever in the closed position cracked after repeated use and eventually broke off, so just go easy on it. Mechanism still works, just falls open when not holding the grip. Only other issue is on the rear sight. If you remove the sight to add any other optic on the rail, the screw that keeps the small metal piece attached to hold the bolt in place, sticks up too far for most cheapo red-dots to be mounted without modification. Managed to fit a little crossman 4x airgun scope on there and its mount rings just barely clear that screw (Local store's clearance section for a buck). Its a wonderful compliment to the overall look and functionality though. Was a bit of a pain to string the first time, but the unit has one h**l of a punch so it was kind of expected. All in all its a great buy. Lots of fun. Definitely underestimated the power of this one.

this little baby is very good was suprised by its sheer power bet we could hunt with it will be testing it out on a rabbit when i get the chance maybe even good enough for a deer with a kill shot to the heart or head!!! the gun is amazing but the darts for it are pretty cheap and easy to loose need to make them of metal all the way!!! but amazing deal if you want something quick and easy to use or dont have allot of room good home defense tool also or to teach kids proper training before being allowed to shoot full crossbows even ones with trouble cocking can use this one!!! just get help for stringing it up wow one of the toughest things you can do!!!!

The crossbow is very simple, and very rigid. Cocking is easy, and adjusting the sights is too. The sights are a little flimsy, but hold, and the string comes pre-waxed. Very nice. My only complaint is the bolts. Garbage. Poorly constructed. I had to machine one of my own, because I was getting tired of them breaking as they hit the hay bale.

Pretty cool and easy enough to cock. Instructions a bit vague with the plastic sleeves for under the strings but once I figured that out wasn't a big deal. The sight does seem like it may be an issue down the road but who can't sight down the crossbow? I have only shot it a few times but seems pretty sturdy. A couple cool add on's would be a mounted quiver on it extra bolts, a strap for carrying and a fishing rig which would make it a great survival tool.

When I received this, stringing it was a bit difficult. after getting it all put together, and sighted in though, it shot suprisingly hard and fast. I went and found me a squirrel, and at about 20 ft away I dropped him with a perfect head shot, RIGHT were I was aiming! I was very pleased with it. There are 3 cons that make it a 4 star: 1, the string starts to tair, and after while, brakes. So I recommend buying a few extra ones. 2, the trigger is VERY stiff to squeeze. The only other con, is that the flechings on the bolts brake really easily. Other than that, this bow is a BEAST.

tried to put the bow together and first off it did not say to put the plastic tips on before you string the bow. When it came time to string the bow, bending the bow to string it and the bow cracked, now what did I do to cause this. I bought two so I strung the second bow without any problems. Now have to find a place to shoot.

This crossbow rocks! Got to make sure to get the right target to shoot at though. Put a gamo green light sight on mine and its dead on at 30yds. Aluminum bolts that it came with aren't great. Buy extra plastic bolts. The target I use is called "the big green target". No broken bolts since I started using this target. This is a great beginner crossbow for noobs or training the kids on safety. Definitely not a toy.

I love this crossbow! I'm not very big, and even though its sorta hard to draw, I was actually able to! It made me really happy because I wasn't able to use the 50lb one because I'm a small girl. The only thing I have to complain about is the sights, they're kinda meh, but you can put better ones on it so it wasn't a deal breaker or anything. When I opened it I was a bit smelly and had some goop on it, but that's no big deal. Nice crossbow, would definitely recommend.

Once you get the thing finally put together and figure out the operation based on the ridiculously vague instructions, you will realize that this thing is very strong for what it is. Bolts fly fast and hard. Dangerous around kids who are anywhere in the area.

My Crossbow just came in a couple of days ago, and I am very impressed by the power, and sturdy feel it has for its price. Did several test shots into a 600+ page phone book, and on average it at least got through well over 300 pages. Truly not a toy! To maintain the bow, simply have lube, wax, extra strings and arrows on hand. For the price, a must have!

got this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it. Everyone he shows it to loves it. It is easy to handle but has lots of power. Great for the price. The string did start raveling the first time it was shot but I had ordered extra.

Very happy with this crossbow. Like the other guy said, buy extra strings and extra arrows. Put crazy glue where the tips of the arrow is in contact with the shaft, it will help stop the tip from coming loose. I put Goop on the string where it comes in contact with the arrow but that only lasted so long. If anyone has a suggestion on how to make that string last longer please post it. This is a lot more than a toy, it will accurately penitrate 6 thick sheets of cardboard at 30 feet

The effective range is about 25' -cannot promise a accurate, lethal blow after that. This setup would be awesome if it was a 120 lb.pull w/an aluminum arm for the cocking system!

lol guys you shouldnt even own a crossbow. none of you seem to know how to take care of one, you need to wax your strings and rail after you go out shooting with it a couple times, you need to oil the metal parts using something like lithium grease, the bolts you buy on this website all suck as they are only stock bolts meant for one shot. and you cant be overly rough with any kind of bow without expecting it to break or start misfiring. as for the hard trigger pull, youre stuck with that. its a hand crossbow, not a gun or a full sized crossbow. a full sized crossbow has a rotating drum as a trigger, or a drop down trigger piece, 90% of hand crossbows have an l shaped piece of metal that pushes the string over a ledge, which requires some force.

Looks like a good product, but the thing is impossible to string yourself. Because of that I'm not sure how good the self cocking mechanism is going to be. If it's as hard to cock as to initially string, it's next to useless.

You should just take the sights off because they broke off the first day because i barley bumped it on something and they broke right off. i just bought a cheap air gun scope from wal-mart and put it on (you have to beat down the little screw to put it on). The string break very fast so i just put a little lube and some black electrical tape to stop it. It is fairly accurate and have killed 2 squirrels with it. also very powerful. very cheaply made. Overall not very satisfied......

The crossbow was great I didn't have a problem with it. The HUGE problem was the string you have to get the string made for it or else it won't work. The string made for this doesn't work very well at all. I could use it for a couple hours and at the end of that time the string would be falling apart (lots of loose strings hanging off).
