Product Description
The Black Shirasaya Musashi Bushido Sword is extremely sharp and embodies the traditional style of the Shirasaya. This sword features a full-tang, carbon steel blade that has a razor sharp edge straight from the factory, as well as a heavy blood groove down the entire length of the blade. The blade is secured in the traditional fashion and can be easily removed. The handle and scabbard are constructed of hardwood from one end to the other. Includes a sword bag.
5 star rating, This is a very well made sword, very sturdy, and very sharp, I was able to shave some arm hairs with it so be careful it will cut you, definately not a toy, I would recomend this to anyone who wants a quality sword. Im now a fan of Musha and will watch for other Musha swords.

Pros:
-Solid
-Good Price
-Not too light
-Fairly sharp
-Good Length

Cons:
-Sword handle + Saya are polished over. WILL GET LOTS OF FINGER PRINTS

Notes: When first getting it, the sword will be a little difficult unsheathing.

Perfect for the price! Looks just like the picture. only complaint would be that the blade says china on the side. But good for the price.

I used to collect cheap swords all the time just to display and had 1 real sword that I practiced with allot. I wanted to start collecting again and have looked at this site allot. I wanted a simple battle ready sword and chose this one. It was a perfect choice. It got to me in one day. It is very sharp and well balanced. The blade was straight as an arrow. I am extremely pleased with this weapon. Don't let the price fool you. This is a high quality sword.

This sword was sharp when I recieved just like it said it would be which made me very pleased. The thing I like about this sword is that it just looks like a giant beating stick while the sword is fully in it's scabbord. Like most people, the only complant I have is that akward wooden peg in the handle. However, I do highly reccomend this sword for purchasing. Can't wait to buy more things off this website!!!

Just got my sword and love it, however the blade was slightly bent. I would recommend this to anyone just looking for a great display sword. Not sharp enough to really do anything when you first get it and it required a lot of sharpening.

All in all a great sword it looks beautiful, handles well, and has a good weight. 5/5

After seeing all the other reviews I almost felt like this sword spoke for itself, but I wanted to add my two cents anyway. I bought this sword as a gift for a friend just a couple of weeks ago, and it would be an understatement to say he loves it. The sheath is lovely and in perfect condition, and the blade is beautiful, also in perfect condition. This is a fine weapon, and I would pay the price again in a heartbeat, because this is an incredible value. If you are looking for an affordable, yet sturdy and stunningly crafted sword, you can't beat this for the price. Shipping was also very fast and smooth, so I'm definitely a happy man, as is my friend with his new katana.

I finally own a Shirasaya...AND WHAT A MAGNIFICENT BUY IT WAS!!!!! Everything about the product was perfect...balance, sharpness, tang, even the sound of cutting the wind! The sword fits perfectly in the saya and the sleek look of the sword will make any heart melt. I know mine did. I practice with this sword daily and definitely give it a 5/5.

i decided to buy this blade, along with the red shirasaya, they are BOTH extremely high quality swords, the sharpness is inhuman. the only problem with it (if any) is that it will start to stick to it's sheath and want to stay in it. which can be annoying when you want to show it to someone, and look like an idiot that can't draw his own blade. other than that it is perfection for the price. (BUY IT NAO!!!!!!)

Great product. You can't beat this sword at its price; if you're considering buying it you definitely should.

This katana is great! It is by far the best sword in my collection. Every part of this sword is amazing. From the razor sharp blade to the glossy black saya(scabbard) every part is beautiful. I think everyone should own this sword.

It's a great sword the black is great but the only thing i have to say is the sword is not that sharp but Overall i Recommend this sword
Justin Tower Feb 21, 2012 (4 out of 5)
A fine blade overall; fairly sharp out of the box and decently balanced. From past reviews I gathered that it is not flat black as the picture suggests, but I'm not fully opposed to the glossy black. There was a minor chip on the tsuka near the mekugi, but I can't complain too much as it is was an easy fix. Overall a great sword for the price.

So this just came in the mail. I couldn't be happier with such a cheap sword. Razor sharp, beautiful piano black finish Properly oiled our of the box. I only have one odd thing it says musashi but it came in a box that says musha a little odd but i can deal with it the picture does not do the finish on the outside justice it's super beautiful. I'm very pleased, this is a great sword for any enthusiast beginner. :D

Hmm, where can I start with this? First off, I've bought the rosewood version of this sword when I first joined this site and it was a very beautiful sword. The metal had a nice shine to it along with a very balanced polished look to it. That sword also came super sharp, sharp enough to at least cut through a couple of bodies for an old fashioned cutting test (mind you, that's if it was the old age of samurai).

Now then, for this one that I just recently bought. I was hoping for a flat black like in the picture, but got a fully lacquered sword instead like other reviewers have said. I have tested the sharpness of it, but after running a finger across it a little, I can say it isn't sharp. And after closer inspection, the tip of of the edge is bent, not the pointy part mind you, but the actual edge around the area of the tip.

It looks like edge was smashed against something hard enough to cause the damage. It also came a little gunky in the Habaki. Well that's what I got in comparison to the other people that have gotten something better it seems like. so for the sword that "I" got, it's a 2.5/5

This sword is nice but the picture doesn't look like the sword much because the real deal is much thicker at the handle & blade. Also they say the sword is sharp... Wrong answer only the tip is sharp & I mean u can see the difference because if the whole blade was like that you could probably cut through sheet rock.
