OMG I loved it at first when I first got it. It writes looks and feels like a typical pen but it's hidden knife inside. I bought it for protection when I have to walk home alone and trust me when I say every woman needs something like this in their life . It's so easy to use and hold.

Wright's like a normal pen, The blade is not too sharp. At all really, but it is pretty good over all. The blades sharp-ness is my only problem and you can just sharpen it if needed.

The picture is a little misleading, but this pen is wonderful! The knife is a little smaller than I expected, and the pen is black with gold, kind of looks silver in the picture. The pen also writes very well.

These are very nice. I bought one just for kicks, and I was not disappointed. Writes well, although I am not sure how to change the ink yet. Overall a good buy

Short story; very much by mistake, I stabbed my friend with this blade. Not in a stupid way, it was an honest mistake.<br /><br />THIS BLADE IS EXTREMELY SHARP!!!!, more so than any of the 5 swords, or 4 knives I've bought here. The blade is an interesting wedge shape.<br /><br />As long as I made the mistake, why not reference it. The blade entered straight, below his first and second fingers (at a downward angle to his up facing palm), very cleanly, and slid about 1/2 inch stopping at his bone, it immediately slid out, leaving a VERY small puncture (However, for about 3/4 inch following the blades internal path, there was severe external bruising). All in all, a very clean cut, with an easily deadly weapon.<br /><br />This blade is easily concealed, nobody would second guess this just being a pen. And it writes in black ball point ink.<br /><br />If you get this, BE VERY CAREFUL AND VERY SAFE!!!, leave it covered unless you need it.

This is a really cool item to have. Although I'm sure it wont write for very long, i didnt think it would write at all, so thats a plus. Nice blade inside and everything feels sturdy.

Good Product
Overall a good product. Don't expect it to be incredibly sharp, it wasn't built that way. Great as a fun and unique letter opener or conversation piece. Functions as a real pen and doesn't have bad ink. Don't drop it.
Justin O'Hara Aug 05, 2012 (4 out of 5)
Only complaint is that I can't figure out how to refill the pen. Besides that the pen and knife is well built an both object work perfectly!
Kevin Daughtry Oct 05, 2011 (4 out of 5)
To me this is more of a hidden letter opener...but still a good product and i would recomend it.
benjamin elkinton Jul 01, 2010 (4 out of 5)
nice and sharp out of the box it looks like a dual sided but it is not the blade is as long as a index finger other than that it is a great pen and unique for pen collectors
bryan soto Nov 11, 2009 (4 out of 5)
the pen is mightier than the sword....that makes this better than a pen and a sword
Alexis Roa Jun 03, 2014 (3 out of 5)
Good pen but the blade was kind of dent and was hard to put back in.
SJ Wicker Nov 02, 2011 (3 out of 5)
Its an okay knife, and an okay pen. This does not make a pen-knife that is any better than 'okay.'<br /><br />Now, can I complain? Not necessarily, no. There is nothing wrong with it, and it is not falsely advertised; you get what you see, and most importantly, you get what you pay for.<br /><br />Much more highly recommended in my book, however, is the $7 "Deluxe Red Maple" ink pen knife. That knife has a blade sharpened symmetrically on both sides of the edge, whereas this one has a single-sided edge. The other one has a blade sizable enough to justify its existence; in my opinion, this pen-knife does not.<br /><br />If/when mine breaks, will i buy a new one? Yes, indeed I will, because it is a relatively nice looking pen for $4.
