I got this sword a while back and was very excited to receive this sword and as soon as I opened it I tried to chop a peice of wood and the blade snapped off at the handle and I was very disappointed also if the blade is carbon steel it must be a crappy one because why else would the blade be so thick but customer service actually replaced it for free I just had to send it back wich was awesome. But if you think this is the same sword in the car video be careful because im sure that one was actually heat treated correctly unlike my blade was also it could really use a sheath that would come with it

This is not a toy thats for sure. I purchased this because I am a Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army and the theme for our unit is the "Spartans". This thing is the real deal from the moment you take it out of the box and hold it in your hand you know this is no toy or movie prop. The blade is sharp and the tip of the sword can go through anything with great ease. Thankfully I only have it as a display piece in my office because it is truly a weapon for War.

Great sword and i actually use it at times for heavy brush removal and also split wood. I keep it sharp but my one issues is it didnt come with a sheath? How would one carry it if they want it out on the farm or while hiking? Its better then nothing if a puma or bear comes up on me?lol But as adcertised and its awesome!

Massive and heavy. Much greater quantity than I expected for the price . Some handle parts seem to be plastic and are quite loose . But otherwise great . Shipping came in one box along with other products which were damaged due to packing.

This thing is a beast! I did exactly what they showed the people on their video on youtube! It went right threw a car door and didnt ding the point of effect the blade in any way! Its a for sure SHTF sword! If you dont have a firearm and feel you need something to protect your self with this is it! If you were attacked by a bear it would come in quite useful as it would lop off a limb no problem! If anything ever happens ill have this strapped on my back as a 2ndary or even 3rd weapon! Gota train with it though the thing is beastly heavy! LOL

WHERES THE SHEATH???? That is the only thing i found wrong with it?!!? I would have rather paid a few dollars more for a sheath then not be able to carry it??? Price point was awesome for what i purchased and its a tough blade that i wouldnt worry about breaking but yet if i cant carry it with me then its a wall hanger??? I would use this for yard work and bush wacking as well as self defense if i ever had to use it for such a thing but the Sheath is the holster of any knife.....why no sheath?

I love the way it feels in my hands I also like that you use it with one or two hands. And how it has a edge down the entire blade. There are two things that I didn't like about it one is that it doesn't have the best handle on it the other is that it doesn't come with a sheathe so you can't carry it.

I Bought my 300 spartan sword some time back from Budk and i love it, well made and yes its heavy but great. I am confused looking at it now maybe buy one for my son as a gift, mine had the option then to get a heavy leather sheath with it but now i do not see that option. Did they drop it or just change it i guess ? But the one i received is great well made sword.

I was skeptical. But after reading all the reviews and a few videos on its weaknesses, I snatched it. I love it! This blade is sweet! I highly recommend it at $36. The only con if noticed is the handle is crap. The guards are cheap and hollow. Severing a 2" sapling felt like the handle was about to pop. I highly recommend rebuilding the handle if you want to have fun. I will rebuilt mine for durability. Overall, it's worth every penny spent! Don't miss out. You won't find a blade like this for such a great price. I give 5 stars because you can't beat the deal.

I bought this sword from Bud K around 10 years ago and I've never looked back. I've used this for costumes, demonstrations, chopping freaking wood! Yes that's right. Although not recommended this is a beast and anywhere I've taken it people have been in awe. I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

Sturdy and well made . I bought it to change it up some, polished half the blade for the 2 tone look I love. Cross guard and pommel are hollow (I knew this before buying), so I'm replacing them with solid blackened stainless. Great buy, highly recommend!

I got my Spartan sword in yesterday and I absolutely love it. It is my first proper sword (I've only had wall-hangers in the past) and I can honestly say I am impressed. The blade is heavy and feels like it could do some real damage. It is comfortable to hold, either one or two handed, though the wrapping of the grip could be a bit better. I can't fault it for that at this price though. If you want an inexpensive sword that won't fall apart the moment you take it out of the box, you can't go wrong with this sword. Easily worth the money.

I bought this sword for use in role play. It is as advertised. I can't fault the blade at all. The finish is really nice, it looks like a rough grey forge finish. It has e beautiful ridge in the center. Quite solid! It's 1/4 inch thick and 1/2 thick at the ridge. It's not overly sharp, but that can be amended. As advertised, it has a full tang, but it also has a bolt welded on to the end so that the rear portion of the guard can screw on. My only real concern was that the guard was hollow. Each piece of the guard is made of two pieces of metal that snap together. As heavy as the blade is, this makes the sword very blade heavy. I took it as a challenge. I cut guards of the same shape as the originals, but slightly thicker, ground them to shape, gave them a basic finish, a solid edgbreak, and sandblasted them to to give them a flat grey matte finish. Then I drilled holes and milled out the spaces in between so that I had cut out a space in each guard for the tang to fit through. Then I hammered them on with metal shims to ensure a tight fit. I epoxied the wooden grip on with JB Weld and took off the fake leather wrap, replacing it with real leather. Again, I can't fault the blade, it seems to be the real McCoy. At worst, this sword was a very enjoyable project for those who want a sword "kit". And at best, it is a sturdy, well made replica. Would totally recommend.

Just received this sword. Massive 1/4" thk blade 25" long. Has a 1/8" rib running down each side, which is where they get the 1/2" from. Weighs 4 lbs (for comparison, my Katana weighs 2.5 lbs), with most of the weight being at the end of the blade of course. It's like a long axe. Mine had a little handle wobble, as the pommel is held on with a nut. Mostly full tang, except at the end where there's threaded rod for the nut. I just popped the pommel end cover off and tightened the nut and now it's solid. The wrap needs to be replaced for sure. It's 'sharp', but because it's so thick it's more like an axe-kinda sharp instead of sword. The handle is big enough to get another hand on it to assist, if needed, in a big swing. It's more like wielding an axe or bat than a sword, but if the zombies attack I think this would be the sword for the job. Looks good on the wall too :-)

I had the pleasure of playing with one of these recently, and I gotta tell ya, this is one tough-ass blade. The one draw back, and it's a huge one , is that the undersized handle seriously handicaps the user. I know, it's a replica of an old world classic, but ergonomics were not in play then. If BudK could make this baby in a two handed open guard grip version, it would be a BIG hit. But for now, it's a good price for a strong blade, even if it is seriously lacking in the grip department.

no, seriously, it is... I bought one a couple years ago... I swing it around a lot, I bash it into a post a lot... (replaced the handle a long time ago by wrappign the full tang with chord, ductape, chord, ductape, chord and then medical tape... it's crude, but the tang is more than long enough to be the handle) suffice to say it does build your bicep, shoulder, and chest muscles. It doesn't build bulky muscle, but rather leaner muscle... I do recommend getting a large, heavy shield for your left, else you'll find one arm bigger than the other.

No problem wielding this sword with one hand. It looks very nice on my wall too. The forward weight alone makes it very useful, even if dull. Plus you can repurpose the steel if needed.

This sword is worth every penny. The quality is amazing and I love the weight of the sword. I think it's dumb that they didn't include the sheath but I already ordered it. It's funny it's modeled after the spartan swords in 300 but they have a picture of Roman soldiers on the box lol

This sword is heavier than most of my other swords, now we know why the Spartans were all so ripped. The only this wrong is the handle. It tends to wobble when swinging this sword. A bit unnerving considering how heavy the blade is. But this blade is worth the money.

This sword looks as if it were an original, forged from Spartan Steel.... Beautiful replica. It will hang with my other Spartan weapons with pride. I won an original Spartan blade at an auction for $130,000 that's in near mint condition. Family had it for 9 centeries I think. Bought your to have a pair. On display no-one knows the difference. Handling it's obvious. The original weighs 10-15 more pounds. Both swing perfect?? Saw complaints anout your swords weight, they wouldn't have lived long around Greeks, Spartans, or Vikings. I've been making Damascus blade weapons for 30+ years, and I've got dozens of original swords from 1000s of years till WWl. Copys from your company. Splendidly made. Thank you.

This sword is more than worth the money. If you love the movie 300 like I do you have got to get this. It weighs 4.3 lbs and you do not want to be on the business end of this monster. It didn't come very sharp but it took me less than five minutes to fix that. I just ordered the sheath today and expect it very soon. I saw this same sword in a shop for $62 so this is a great deal. Stop thinking about it and order one today.

Arrived today. Beautiful cold steel finish, looks authentic and heavier than I expected, giving it an even more realistic feel. Even came with a fairly sharp edge which needs only some basic finishing to clean up the edge. Being somewhat of a sword fanatic I know a little something about them and this one is extremely impressive. Very very satisfied. Definitely worth the money.

This is a very heavy sword and can actually be swung two handed unless you have really big hands. Im gonna have to start pumping some iron just to be able to swing this beast a few times without hurting myself LOL. I received mine very quick and I'm truely impressed. It's a tough and already rugged looking sword so wear and tear isn't something that would ever have to be a concerne, other than sharpening of course. There's only two purposes for the way this sword is built, feels, weighs and they are either to completely take off any limb with a single swing or kill period. Love it and thank you so much. I love it!! I am more of a collector then a user. I won’t be going out chopping up cars like BUDK did in the video; (lol); but I can tell by the size and the weight of this thing that you could tear apart a car with it. Keep in mind that I am a 250 pound power lifter who can bench well over 400 and this thing wears my arm out swinging it. I find this sword well worth the money and a beautiful piece of art work. I just ordered this sword and it arrived just before I am writing this review. And I have to say, BEST PURCHASE I've ever made. The sword is excellent. It's heavy, sharp, and the metal on the blade is neither too thin nor is it too thick. It's precisely how a sword should be. I got this sword for my brother, and I must say it's one of the best products I've ordered from budk. I mean DANG, it's super heavy duty. My brother enjoys how not only can he demolish cars with it, but that it makes a great wallhanger too. I've collected about a hundred swords and have many of the movie replicas. This one is heavy, looks like an rough iron sword from the time period, and matches the movie version very closely. The video BUDK produced also showed it is tough as nails although I'll never put it through so much abuse. But the biggest bonus is the fact that this sword costs less than 30 dollars which makes the 300 Spartan Warrior the best sword value in the market hands down. Whether you want a great replica, a great looking wall hanger, or a fantastically tough and inexpensive basher, this is my top choice for the money.

If you want really fuctional sword at a good price hear it is. My complaint is why did they have to make it so ugly. Greeks never used swords like this, so if you want a historically correct sword for a Greek soldier the best BUDK has is the Celtic dress sword.

I used one of these in a movie project... Outlasted all the crap swords we used, and still was good for some woodclearing!. This is my second sword of this type.

This was my first purchase (as a birthday present for my husband), and all I can say about it, was that its amaing, it has a great weight, and its an awesome addition to our to collection of twenty+ weapons, it came with an edge and looks great on our wall

Hefty in weight, and good looking. I couldn't be more pleased. It's perfect for decoration or for a display. I wouldn't depend on it for home security. Its rather dull (as far as blades go), and the handle does not feel perfectly stable. I'm still impressed that this could be made for so low a cost.

I was very impressed with this sword, the only thing that was bad about it was it's steel composition. It was still able to cleave most of the way through the box it came in and it cut through a water bottle with no issue. This sword is surprisingly heavy, I believe it weighs more than 10 lbs. Very impressive sword, well worth the 30$ (It is discounted at the moment.)

This sword is amazing haha like just stunning. It was better than I thought it would be the silver part next to the blade was not near as large as shown on the picture. It's pretty heavy for its size but a great sword and I recommend buying it if you are thinking twice. It's the real deal so next time I watch 300 I'll be holding it.

What a beast! the best value for any weapon, sword or otherwise i have ever seen. One of the other reviewers is correct, everyone who sees it can't wait to hold it. Alot of the other reviewers are also saying how sharp it is, where that is my only disagreement. Mine is far from sharp, almost dull. i was expecting it to be, as i feel it is more of a showpiece anyway. Way to go BUDK, you've outdone yourselves again.

The sword arrived within 2 days. It was really sharp when i got it out of the box. It has a good weight to it too. The only thing I noticed I didn't like was the leather wrap on the handle, it doesn't stay in place for too long.

I purchased this item and am very pleased with it. The blade has a small dent about the size of a nickle on the side about midway up but it doesn't appear to be damaged other than that. Great sword for the price!

Excellent Sword. Everything on it holds up so far. I've had it for at least two weeks and nothing about it has disappointed me yet. Kinda need to watch the wrap on the handle. It can come loose but that can easily be fixed.

This truly is THE SPARTAN SWORD. I was amazed by the raw strength of this blade, having seen several "mock-ups", and purchased a pale imitator. This sword feels and looks truly handmade, and the texture and slight warble to the blade make it all the more ferocious. The only problem I've had (if you can call it a problem) is that the blade edge is so hard it's taking forever to put the edge i want on it.<br /><br />Truly a spectacular piece. Anyone who wants a spartan sword need look no further.

This is a very nice sword. Just by swinging it you can feel it is a solid, sturdy blade. It is thick and somewhat heavy, but you can still swing it, and the grip is large enough you can fit two hands on it. It is shipped decently sharp, but if you feel the need to sharpen it I'm sure it would not be that difficult. The only issue i have is the leather wrap on the handle will shift from where it is originally and come loose, but it is not that critical. Overall, it is a great buy for $50.

this was my first time ordering a sword n i must say the delivery was VERY fast!! the sword is a bit heavy but i don't mind at all. it has a look to it that makes it look as though it might've been made by a spartan soldier n could b used in battle! the leather sheath looks very good also n is quite sturdy. the blade is very sharp n the point could probably give you a nasty poke so use caution when holding!!<br />all in all it's a GREAT sword! my greek ancestors would be proud!! lol

I got this one day earlier then expected which was nice, and the thing is nice... Seems fairly sharp though I have not really inspected it (got it right before class) and overall the quality is very good, the handle is somewhat short making it somewhat unbalanced but since the blade is so giant and thick I can let that one slide. Overall excellent buy and money well spent.

Beautifully detailed sword. Not as sharp as i had hoped but thats easily fixed. Only thing i found was you have to be careful putting it back into the sheath, the blade will slice right through the leather even before i sharpened it

A nice, hefty, 4.5 pounds of bad-A steel! I wanted a 'beater' sword, and so far looks like this one will fit the bill nicely. I like a nice, shiny polished blade on some swords, but the "antiquated" look of this particular blade makes it all the more stunning. Looks like it might have come straight of the battlefield. Absolutely amazing. Bigger than the movie, but that's to be expected for a replica. Gorgeous blade, nice weight. Can be swung, not recommended for short people or in a cramped space, duh. Excellent collectors item for fans of 300, or unique sword collectors.

I just got this sword last night this is the first in my collection and i am extremely impressed not part of this sword is plastic, pure metal and and the leather hilt, the sword is not sharp but i dont care because i can easily sharpen it and it looks extremely sharp which makes for a great display this is a MUST for a collector who is into barbarian, fantasy or historical swords and for any 300 fan I LOVE THIS SWORD but since i am currently an amatuer sword collector this is an amatuer opinion on waht makes for a good sword but for now this is DEFINEATLY a 5 star

I was stunned to see what a marvelous sword this truly is. Looks like I picked up right out of the battlefield of the Hot Gates itself. Both the sword and the leather sheath are highly detailed. A must buy for any 300 fan. You will not, cannot be disappointed.

This sword in amazing, case closed. It's not that sharp or anything, but that's to be expected. It does come coated in something oily, but it easily rubs off on a towel. The detail is perfect, a must buy for any 300 fan!

I just got my spartan sword today, and it's amazing! So far, it's the best piece in my collection. The added detail to the blade really makes it that much better. It's larger than I thought, but I actually like it's size compared to the ones in the movie. An excellent addition to anyone's collection!

The only reason I gave it four stars is because it doesn't come with a sheathe. It's a beautiful blade you do have to clean it up because is alittle dirty but I absolutely love it just wish it came with a sheathe

All around the sword is fantastic, however just like one of the previous reviewers, my handle is a bit loose from the blade as well. Wondering how to reinforce it. Still it's heavy and sharp and beautiful. Needs better handle securement.

This is a real Blade, I File tested it and it is Hardened properly It is Heavy and Thick, It Came already Quite Sharp You Could cut a tree down with this. A Small tree would go down with one Swipe. I can't Understand why they would put such a Crappy Handle on a great blade When I got it, the Handle was A bit Loose, It Wobbled a Little. I don't Know if I still Have it in me but To Replace the Handle would be a bit of a job. This is a great Sword for Display, All in All I Love it. If Not for the Handle I would have given 5 Stars.

Let's get the bad out of the way: The handle is horrible. If you plan to do more than hang on wall, you will need to reinforce, retighten, and wrap with your own leather. But the GOOD: The blade is magnificent. WELL worth the money even considering handle. One trip to the local sharpening/fabrication shop and I have a fully functional sharp, heavy blade that, in the words of the shop owner, "was worth alot more than $29". For those complaining about weight...hit the gym. These weapons weren't made for pansies. A great buy I will play with, get workout out of, and admire on display. O, and for those that want to maintain the worn look of the blade...phosphoric acid works great...

This sword is perfect. The weight alone makes it a must buy as one swing could easily disarm an opponent (literally as well). Only thing I found that wasn't to spec, was the handle length; It was meant to be a one-handed weapon, however, it could be used as two handed sword for most hand sizes. This isn't exactly a draw back as I don't see many people carrying a shield as well, but this sword can still be handled at center-top for easy one hand usage. Did not include sheath but that's to be expected with the price. Great buy.. If you're still deciding weather or not you should get it; GET IT! For the price and its unique/tactical attributes; it's a win/win!

This sword is nice, just keep it clean or it'll rust. It's extremely heavy and rugged (which matches the theme perfectly). The leather wrapping on the handle comes off really easily, so be prepared to re-glue it or replace it with something sturdier. All and all, it's really cool conversation and collector piece I would highly recommend.

This is NOT like the Greek kopis [that's right it was not just Spartan] but is modeled upon it. Especially the handguard. They [I bought two} are huge. Not in length but in weight width and appearance. One hunk of metal with form that is both imposing And lethal. It would not be easy for someone to recover from a full slash or thrust of these.<br />No scabbards but for price I would Not expect them.<br />Cant tell you about "quality" of the metal as it will be months before im strong enough to use them for the cardio and strength training I bought them for. I can tell you that it is probably possible for most hand sizes to use one two handed.<br />If the metal is up to "standard" the form of the sword and especially the handguards should make them a match for any but most massive historical blade. Just first impression but two swords could trap break or parry just about any other form of blade.<br />Tremendous value--You have a returning customer. Over all it was not a bad buy for the price, very sturdy, blade does not wiggle. only issue i had with mine was the "leather wrapping" moved and looked tacky, in the end i just took it off and it still looks great

First let me start off by saying, that this sword is very impressive for the money. Its thick, strong, sharp, and it just looks Bad a**!!! The only downfall I think I can mention, as others have previously, The Handle of this particular sword is a bit lacking. I also believe that you get what you pay for and for the money (less than $30 because I had 10% off from a previous order) you can't beat this sword. I took the Incredibly cheap foe leather wrap off of the handle, turned the bottom guard one more round tight, re wrapped the handle with 3M electrical tape and WOW this thing is much more than id hoped for for that kind of money. All I can say now, is Thanks BUD K you guys Fn rock!!!

This is a really great sword. Quality made, very sharp and sturdy, and it looks AMAZING. It was delivered fast, and I was able to track the package on its way to my house. The only flaws with the sword are a few VERY small dings and nicks on the blade, and the blade is not completely straight, but to be fair, I'm not 100% sure its supposed to be. <br /><br />Overall this is a very great sword, beautiful and strong, and was delivered quickly . I am very satisfied with this product and it is well worth the price.

As many other reviews, the only issue with this in my opinions is the wrapping on the handle. Is vinyl and not very well attached, when you started swinging the sword is start to slide up and down. Solution... just remove and buy some leather wrapping or even the tennis rackets wrapping works too, that what i used for my and not wont slip and have a awesome grip. Would buy again, gave a 4 due to the handle wrapping, other than that great sword.

Got it fast ! no hassles . It was 30$ and it's well worth it . It came with a nice edge and fairly sharp but needs my own touch yet. I got this sword as an apacolyptic zombie hacker , this is the kind of sword that I can see me using while holding off hordes of the dead while standing on my truck. It's well built and will last for years , and has a good heavy swing. Good buy !

I'm surprised at how quick the shipping was. I got it the day it shipped out. Overall I think this sword is pretty good. but it did have some problems. Like in the other reviews, the leather and pommel were loose and cheaply made. So I took off the leather and used red nylon for the grip, and used gorilla glue to fix the loose pommel. Good job Budk.

Very pleased with this sword! It is indeed an heavier yet sturdy blade. Comes fairly sharpened and really does look like the real thing from the movie. There are 2 reasons I give this an 4 instead of an 5 though. Firstly the paint job, atleast on mine isn't the same as the one shown, but not an huge deal really. The 2nd issue I have is that there is no scabbard for it, which would have been nice to help protect it. Overall though, nice blade for the price!

This sword's blade is very strong and thick. The only problems I had with this sword was the leather wrap moving around, and I had to pop off the handle plate on the butt of the sword to tighten it a little bit. It is heavy, and bigger than the usual Greek sword, but is an excellent weapon that can combine brute force with a thin edge.

great price, good looker... it has a nice heavy blade, i tested the durability of the sword against a tree it took about 10 "wacks" then the handle shook a little bit loose, which brings me back to it being a good looker. i have had no major problems with the piece and i look forward to buying from budk again.

This is an excellent sword, when it showed up at my house it wasn't that sharp, but it still slashed the heck out of the box it came in even BEFORE i sharpened it!! Just a few concerns. This sword is quite heavy so if you have small hands like me, you may experience painful soft tissue damage if you swing it around with one hand, but it usually stops happening after a week or two. Also, the leather grip is a little bit loose, but its not a huge problem. All in all, great sword, very sturdy. I give it a four out of five.<br /><br />oh, and you might want to oil it regularly if you wipe the factory oil off. once every 8 or nine days will be fine.

I just had this sword delivered. I was really excited because its my first sword to start my collection. I really like the dirty finish beside the fact that I need to clean off the oil/sludge substance without ruining the antique look. The sword is heavier than expected which is a good thing. I don,t intend on using this for anything besides display so I couldn't be happier! THANKS BUDK I WILL BE BACK FOR MORE! O P.S. Delivery was quick got here in about 4 days.

Solid sword! For only $50 you won't find a better Leonidas Spartan Sword. The blade is hefty and packs a punch and is somewhat sharp, easily sharpened however. Good wrap on the handle and excellent leather carrying case. The only thing is the workmanship on this sword could be better.

Actually very sharp still has oil on it from sharpening .. unless it's one of the name brands they sell I find alot on this site is dull like I said my musta samurai sword was super sharp off this site..as for non name brand this is good quality..probably 2 lbs ..I mean a baseball bat coulda broke that brick in the video guys do it with their heads to that cheap brick but this thing is sharp ..very..I'd say it's worth the price..deff buy the sheath you will need it

HANDLE WITH CARE. I love the heavy blade, and it feels nice in your hand, until you hit something, I was able to twist the both the handle and the pommel loose with my hands. The pommel twists all the way round now and if I can figure out how to get it off I would make my own handle and pommel. BUT then again this was to be a replica, not a DIY sword. I did not contact them because I see others have the same issue. so unless they resend another one that isn't a lemon, which I would return this one, I will just look at other sites and pay the extra $ and pray. I gave it a 3 because I like the store and the blade is nasty tough, its the handle, AGAIN that is the issue, and if the handle fails then the swing or thrust fails. Nice and fast shipping though and the phone service (from calling in issues before) is great, but this sword will kill you first when the zombies attack. lol. I feel I will get in trouble and black listed now that I have written 2 bad reviews. BUT I am being honest.

First, the blade is everything they say it is, and BudK is a great value. It's a massive piece of metal that has a great look and feel. My one peeve with any sword is wobble between the handle and the blade, which this thing had out of the box. You know that little "click" when a gentle swing shifts the blade forwards and backwards in the grip? Sad face. Not a problem with the leather, and it's probably fixable with some work, just wasn't looking for a DIY project right now. Doesn't sound from other reviews like it's a common problem, but certainly soured my enthusiasm.

This is a beautiful sword and I am a great fan of BUDK. It was a fast order, and good packaging. My only problem I had was the handle. The pleather grip was very loose and unwinded within a few minutes of swinging. No problem duck tape can't solve. Just cut off the pleather and made my own grip. It worked fine. Then the bottom of the handle started shifting in place.(This all happend the same day it was delivered) I just wove a figure 8 into and around the handle and now it feels and works perfect. But besides the negative, it is a great sword and don't let my words effect you from buying it. Just know what you might get and dont feel disappointed.

I got the sword, and it is indeed very heavy and sturdy. Have to be rather strong to swing it around one handed. It is overall a very nice sword, but I do have some complaints. The blade is not as detailed as shown with the pictures. The paint is dark black, as opposed to the gritty steel grey color in the pictures. The detail of the paint is also not as good as in the pictures, especially at the cutting edge, where the shiny metal is exposed. The tip of the sword is pointy, but rather poorly formed/crooked for mine atleast. It also did not come with any sheath whatsoever, which I thought it did after reading from a number of the reviewers. It came decently sharp, but my sharpener should make it even more menacing. Overall it's a good sword and came quickly too, but since I'll be using it more for display, I wished it matched the pictures more.

I was disappointed with this purchase. The actual blade is great. It came sharp and well crafted as promised.The handle is garbage. Not only did the leather wrap come off after just playing with it for a few minutes, but then I noticed that the entire handle was coming loose. I seriously only slightly played with this sword for 5 minutes and it was coming apart. I love the other budk products I own and expected much more from this sword than I got.

When I bought this sword I was looking for something I could at least swing. This sword isn't worth the price. It isn't balanced well at all, it weighs to much to use for anyone. It also is too long for and normal use. I buy swords and other weapons often enough to say that this is crap. If you buy it you need to put it on your wall and never touch it again... Otherwise DO NOT BUY!

The handle on this sword is pure junk. Be prepared to use some heavy duty glue to keep it together. A huge disappointment. First purchase from Bud, maybe the last.
