1933 SS Officers Replica Dagger Knife

This replica comes well packaged and secure. When taken from the box the first thing you notice is how striking it is. The dagger probably weighs about a pound give or take and the scabbard has what appear to be polished metal fittings that are both decorative and useful they attach a substantial chain to the scabbard. The chain is embossed with alternating skull and cross bones and the insignia of the SS. The blade is not engraved and outlined but etched with the SS Motto. You can feel the etching with the tip of your finger. The dagger is not sharp nor were any of the real daggers leaving that task to the recipient. This dagger is nowhere close to real but it is a beautiful military replica that you will enjoy owning and showing off.

Great replica. No, it's not original, but you're not paying $8,000 either. Looks and feels good, beautiful wall hanger. Well worth the great price.

This is a really nice replica. Mine came in and needed a little tightening and crimping of the links but so what! Order an ARF RC Plane and see what you have to do to it! Whats the big deal? An inexpensive WWII replica that's worthy to hang on any person or display box or war room wall. You might could take it on a hunting trip or fishing trip or show and tell around the campfire. With a nice war story it would captivate all. I am proud of mine, it's going on my wall next to my 1/16 scale Tiger 1 and Bulldog tank which is across from my P-51 and P47! What a nice addition! This is a very good replica. Nice weight and balance. Blade has a nice edge to it. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a good addition to their WWII collection.

Very nice piece for the price. It came very sharp and very pointed! I've had this dagger for about a year and I have it hanging on the wall with some real military pieces from WW2 and it's a great addition to my collection. Yes, the handle and scabbard are made of hard plastic, but it's a replica.... not an original for 12.00. :) It's a really nice dagger. Very satisfied...

Recived this dagger in the mail the other day. Im quite impressed for something with this price. Good sharp edge, nice weight, shiney. The scabbard is a tad cheap and plastic-like and the chain seems a somewhat weak. Im most likely going to replace the chain with a more durable one. Besides the chain and the sheath it is a very nice display peice and will be a fine addition to my collection. I do recomend this for someone who wants a decent display knife for a good price.

just got this knife. first impression is simply amazing! the blade itself has some scratches and the chain does look a bit cheap but overall well worth the price. this is my favorite knife in my collection and is surprising sturdy, but not very sharp but the can be fixed. the handle had a few scraps in it but nothing major. a very great knife at a very great price

I got this for my brothers 16th birthday and he absolutely loves it. He's a huge WWII geek so this knife was perfect. There weren't any imperfections aside from the blade being set in the handle crooked. But seriously it dosen't matter once you get it in your hands. Also it slides into/out of the sheath smoother than any sword I've owned. This is definitely a must have for collectors of this topic.

The power these daggers gave to the feared SS in WW 2 is legendary. Perhaps on a level with the power, respect, and fear that a Samurai sword gave to a Samurai in 17th century Japan. I am grateful to Bud K for saving me $5000 I would have had to pay for a real SS dagger. Actually I would never pay $5000, or even the $500 which I would have to pay for a junky cracked SS dagger with no scabbard, so basically I am grateful to have a nice looking replica to hang on my wall for less than 20 bucks. YES, it is an inch short. YES, the eagle looks like a potato with wings. YES, the SS medallion is glued on a weird angle. YES the blade is as dull as the back side of a butter knife. YES the handle and main part of the scabbard are just black plastic. YES, any expert can tell it is fake in 2 seconds. These are just details. (however, It IS a pity BudK can't have their China manufacturer do a little better.) It still looks GREAT on my wall! And in my hand, especially since I gently scraped the plastic mold marks off the handle with a sharp knife to smooth it out, and rubbed a little black into the lasered inscription to make it more visible. Also, because I was not happy that the dagger hung on my wall sideways , parallel to the floor, I gently opened and moved two short links (one is square) from the short upper chain to the longer, down side chain to make it even longer, using two needle nosed pliers. No they are not plastic, and yes, I feared they might break, so I only opened them Just barely enough to get them off, and squeezed them closed just barely enough, like they were originally. Now it hangs on my wall at a very nice 45 degree angle. and it looks GREAT!

just got it a few days ago but it wasnt sharp and had some scratches and burn marks on the blade but other than that it great wall hanger

It is a good replica. Good quality shiny blade. Two problems 1] Overall length 14" should be 15" tight on the hand with tight grip. 2] Handle a little narrower that it should be and sides of scabbard and handle have a sharp line along the sides where plastic was compressed together. This area should be smooth not sharp to the touch. I kept it because of the beautiful blade.

Great piece, first off. I got this as a gift for a friend of mine and he loves it. It came sharp, well built, sturdy and very clean and in good shape. the only real problem is that it is very difficult to remove or put back into the sheath and this has resulted in the hilt assembly coming a little loose and it now rattles a bit but that's the only real issue I've seen with it.

Very nice looking replica. The couple of negatives are that the "metal" brackets on the sheath appear to actually be metal coated plastic. Either that, or they are very thin metal. And the handle seems a bit light in weight. Still, it is a replica and as such it is good enough. A real one would be hundreds of dollars.

I give this dagger a good rating. It looks like a good facsimile of the real thing, if you aren't too critical and at arm's length. I've held a real one and the Chinese do not begin to match the quality. The metal part of the handle and blade are one solid piece on a real one and the black handle is wood, not plastic. It represents a very exclusive quasi-religious order. There was a special on TV about the SS schutzstaffe(defense echelon) some time back. I have learned from a WWII veteran that many US troops executed them on sight, knowing that many oversaw most of the infamous "Final Solution".

Pretty cool looking dagger. Shape blade, would have been nicer to have been a wooden handle. Do not like the big "CHINA" on the blade, but hard to find anything not made there these days. Overall pretty cool for a collective addition!

Nice replica of the SS WWII dagger. Comes fairly sharp, nice blade with nice lettering on it. Only draw back is the sheath and handle are plastic. Would be a five if they were made of wood.

Great sharp blade, it is hard to put it in and take it out of its sheath but it is still a good cheap buy and a great collectors item for WWII fanatics like me

This product is a little cheaply made, handle,sheath and chain only. Blade is of fairly good quality. It does match to original pretty accurately. All in all a good display piece

I just got this dagger a few hours ago. First of all, id like to say that its dominant purpose would be display. The knife tip is VERY sharp but the blade itself is pretty dull. I tried to sharpen it and i got it a little sharper so far, but it could use a lot more work. It will look great hanging up on my wall, but im not going to use it for self defense. the handle and the scabbard are made of plastic, but i got what i paid for. For 12 bucks, this is a great piece and im satisfied. If youre looking for a good self defense weapon, grab a ka bar. Anyways, I like my purchase, but since some of the materials are plastic, im going to have to give it four stars instead of five.

This was a pretty nice display piece...not much for function, you get what you pay for and I'm pretty satisfied.

pretty good dagger, edge could use a litle refining to be truely sharp but its still decently sharp and still dangerous if handled wrong......also the handle could be just a little longer but overall detail and craftmanship is good quality and a great price

For those of you who own this dagger [ or any replica ], & don't like the China stamp or stainless steel...take it to a jeweler you know & in minutes what you don't like will be adios for about $10.00. It's fake enough as it is, but for yourself & the people you show it to, one does not need, of all countries " China " stamped on any blade. I would feel embarrassed. By the way, my jeweler is so good, you would never know anything was ever imprinted.

For an inexpensive replica it is certainly very acceptable. The composite handgrip, could and should have been made of wood, as the originals were. Which also is cheaper to make and more authentic. A real expert will immediately spot it as a reproduction. The "pouring" marks of the chain could be ground off smooth ( which i did) making it all the more acceptable. In general I am very satisfied with both the HJ farthermesser and the SS dolch. And RZM mark and motto should not be on same side of the blade. Haen

Im not impressed with this. Everything was fake cheap plastic. The only thing real was the blade. This would be good for a top of the shelf display.

Dagger point is extremely sharp and the blade was nice. The black portion of the sheath I got was lightly scratched, and the chain is a little junky looking. Overall this is worth about what it cost.
